The winner of The Voice Australia has revealed she hasn’t heard from Rita Ora in months, despite their win.
Tarryn Stokes was crowned winner of the reality show in October, however, filming took place earlier this year.
Stokes has revealed despite some brief emailing, the pair haven’t shared any contact for quite some time.
“Not a lot [of contact with Rita], but she gave me her e-mail, so we were emailing back and forth,” she told the Daily Mail.
Stokes doesn’t feel any bad blood toward Ora, however, and expressed the desire to speak with the singer again soon, adding: “I might email her again soon and see if she wants to say ‘hi’.”
Sadly for Stokes, this isn’t the first time Ora has been accused of ditching her contestants once the cameras have stopped rolling.
Lachie Gill, who was crowned winner of the singing competition in May, told the Herald Sun last November that the 32-year-old singer hadn’t been in touch since the finale.
“I am going to be completely honest with you, I have not spoken to her since the show which maybe is a bit sad for everyone, but also I totally understand that she is one busy woman,” the former footy player told the publication.
“I have not really bothered to try and reach out and contact her because I sort of know that she would have a pretty busy schedule.”
Meanwhile, Stokes recently revealed how she’s been spending her winnings from the talent contest.
“I bought Nike shoes, I bought some socks for my children, and we’re gonna buy a trampoline for the backyard,” she told Yahoo Lifestyle.
“So you know, life as a mum, right? It’s those kinds of things.
“And we’re gonna go on a holiday and then also pay the mortgage.”

The singer added that she found the entire process “overwhelming” and still couldn’t believe she was crowned the winner.
“I can’t believe people like what I do,” added the star.
“I think I’ve always had like negative thoughts of like, oh it’s not that good, or my voice isn’t that good or anything. So I feel like just having so many people like what I do has been a real confidence boost.”
