Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s marriage will last “years rather than decades”, according to a former Vanity Fair editor.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex tied the knot in 2018, but former editor Graydon Carter has confessed that he believes Markle has “run rings around poor Harry to get money, notoriety and a title.”
Following their lavish wedding captured the attention of the entire world, the couple have
fallen out of favour with both their family and many royal fans.
Meghan’s diary has been surprisingly empty this year and her multimillion dollar podcast deal with Spotify was cancelled because it was too boring.
It has been a year since couple’s bombshell Neftlix documentary in which they slated the royal family and speculation is whirling that the Sussexes’ marriage is in trouble.
Carter told The Sunday Times: “I would measure the duration of the marriage in years rather than decades.
“I think she has run rings around poor Harry and gotten what she wanted: notoriety, money, and a title. His usefulness to her diminishes daily.”
The former editor added that he doesn’t imagine Meghan will ever return to acting, after leaving the hit TV show Suits to be with the Duke.
He said: “If there is a Real Housewives of Montecito show in the works, she’d be a shoo-in.”
Despite rumours flying about Prince Harry occasionally staying in a hotel room when things at home got a little too much, Meghan appeared to be every inch the doting wife last month.
At an event for the couple’s charitable foundation she praised her marriage saying: “Being a mum is the most important thing in my entire life.”
Gesturing to Prince Harry, she then added: “Outside of my marriage to this one.”
The couple are parents to Archie, four, and Lilibet, 2.
It comes after the couple was slammed by critics and royal fans over their recent decision to fly private to Vegas.
The royals flew in a Gulfstream jet with fellow A-listers Cameron Diaz, her husband Benji Madden, and actress Zoe Saldana to see Katy Perry’s final show of her Las Vegas residency at Resorts World Theatre. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, both dressed in black, took in the Teenage Dream star’s performance from the VIP section.

“He set up this Travalyst charity which was all about not using private planes,” royal biographer Angela Levin told the Sun.
“He’s still their patron. I think he should get the sack.” She continued: “They think they have gotten so grand, they wouldn’t dream of taking a normal flight. They’ve got all these rich friends to pay for it. It’s worse than ‘do as I say, not as I do’ because he’s a patron of a charity.”
Meanwhile, it was claimed over the weekend that the Duke of Sussex rejected an olive branch offer from his father King Charles, which would have seen him – and possibly his wife – reunite with his family for an intimate celebration at Clarence House on November 14.
