The lead singer of Suede left fans stunned when he went on a rampage at the band’s latest show.
Frontman Brett Anderson was seen charging at the front row before grabbing and swatting phones out of the hands of shocked concert goers who were recording the performance.
In a series of shocking videos posted to Instagram, Anderson can be seen storming toward the barricade at the front of the crowd before appearing to argue with a fan while demanding they put their phone down.
The singer is then seen to be leaping over the barricade before going on a bizarre rampage grabbing phones and throwing them to the floor or pushing fans’ hands down.
After leaving the crowd stunned with his actions, Anderson then returned to the stage where he addressed his anger and frustration.
“It’s so much better if you could possibly put your phone down … Put your f**king phone down,” he ranted. “If you wanna film, go to the back. Don’t take up space out here. These people wanna have fun. If you wanna stare at your f**king phone, go to the f**king back. Am I right?”
He ended his speech, which appeared to be met with cheers from the crowd, by adding: “It just kills the gig”.
Fans rushed to share their reactions to Anderson’s shocking outburst, with one replying on social media: “Looks like he’d had enough of people just standing there filming. Damn, I’ve never seen him like that,” while another labelled the singer a “boomer”.
However, some came out in support of the star and argued that he just wanted the fans to enjoy their concert experience.
“So happy Brett came out and said it,” replied one fan in support. “Too many phones filming at shows at the front of gigs ruining the fun now. Hope you enjoyed Suede live!”
Another added: “Not everything needs to be a story on Insta! Best gigs I’ve been too from the 90s, I remember them all without any video or even audio bootlegs.”
Meanwhile, Anderson recently opened up about when the band first started out, confessing they were “terrible” live.

“When I was first in a band with Mat, we were in a band called Geoff and it was me and Matt and this guy called Gareth Perry,” he told NME.
“We got a gig at Clair Hall which was in Haywards Heath and you [Mat] couldn’t make it so it was literally me and Gareth and it was just terrible.”
He continued: “I had this really tricky 12-string that the action was really high, I couldn’t really play it. It must have sounded like such sh*t, but that was the first gig I ever did. It was kind of embarrassing.”
