Beloved Australian singer and actor Johnny Ruffo has been honoured with a final send off in a public memorial after losing his battle with brain cancer earlier this month.
Friends and family were seen in tears outside the service for the Home and Away and X-Factor star, which was held at his former high school in the Perth suburb of Balcatta.
Ruffo was diagnosed with the aggressive brain cancer in 2017 before undergoing surgery.
He announced that he was in remission in 2019 before the cancer tragically returned a year later.
The performer passed away on November 10 aged 35.
His partner Tahnee Sims broke her silence on Ruffo’s death, posting a heartbreaking Instagram reel of her favourite memories with him along with the caption “a forever love”.
The event is open to the public but there are strict rules against cameras or photography inside the venue.
Ruffo’s fellow Home and Away co-star Lynne McGranger will deliver a eulogy in memory of her close friend.
More to come.
