Nadia Bartel puts white powder scandal behind her as she jets to Sydney - PerthNow

After laying low since being outed for snorting a white powder and breaking lockdown laws two months ago, Nadia Bartel has been spotted out and about in Sydney.

The ex-wife of former AFL player Jimmy Bartel was spotted at Mimi’s restaurant in Coogee with a group of friend’s yesterday afternoon, also sharing an intimate photo of the group on social media.

The mother-of-two enjoyed a long lunch, and also shared a snap of her and some female friends taken across the table.

Earlier this month Bartel broke her silence following the white-powder scandal, which saw her slammed for not only breaking Melbourne’s strict lockdown rules, but also appearing to take drugs.

In an Instagram post on November 2 she wrote that shifting her mindset had helped her heal in the wake of the controversy, following which she was dropped from several brands.

In September one of her friends accidentally publicly shared a video on social media of Bartel was snorting a line of white powder at an illegal gathering.

Just 24 hours after the video leaked, she issued an apology on Instagram, where she has 560,000 followers.

“Hi everyone, I have let you all down by my actions,” she wrote on September 3.

“I take full responsibility and I am committed to taking all necessary steps to ensure I make better choices in future.

“To my family and friends, my business partners and the public health workers trying to keep us all safe, I am embarrassed and remorseful.

“I am truly and deeply sorry. I hope I can earn your forgiveness and, in time, your trust.”

Soon after brands including HairHouse Australia and JS Health distanced themselves from the business owner and influencer, saying that their sponsorship agreements had been terminated.

Even Victorian Premier Dan Andrews weighed in at the time, warning she may be fined for breaching COVID restrictions. Soon after, Bartel and three other women were fined $5,452 each, however she appears to have dodged any drug charges.
