Brooke Blurton finds love on Bachelorette finale with Darvid Garayeli - PerthNow

It’s taken three goes on the Bachie franchise for Brooke Blurton, but she has finally found love with Darvid Garayeli.

In the emotional finale, the 26-year-old Noongar-Yamatji youth worker who grew up in Canarvon, went on one final date with Garayeli and runner-up Jamie-Lee Dayz before making her decision.

“Darvid absolutely has restored my faith in actually loving something so unconditionally and knowing that it loves you back,” she said in a piece to camera.

“I love him so much and he is the most beautiful man I’ve ever met.

“I feel like we’re going to have a really beautiful life together.

“I’m really and utterly in love. I’m so madly in love.”

Blurton couldn’t stop the happy tears as she told the 27-year-old landscaper from Queensland.

“You came in here and you granted me 3 wishes and I still have one left,” she said.

“Will you make me the happiest girl …”

“Of course,” Garayeli replied.

“I genuinely have known from the first moment I met you, that this was going to be the start of something special,” he said.

“I have completely fallen in love with you, as you know. I want you to always feel loved, and I want you to always feel supported.”

But before Blurton could tell Garayeli, she had to end things with Dayz, whom she met three years ago as contestants on The Bachelor.

“When we met three years ago there was an instant connection,” Blurton told Dayz.

“Since then I feel like we never got to experience a relationship outside that.

“You are absolutely beautiful inside and out and you make me feel like the only girl in the world.

“But unfortunately it’s not ours and my heart is with someone else.”

Blurton made history as Australia’s first Indigenous and bisexual Bachelorette, with male and female contestants vying for the coveted rose.

She was unlucky in love on both The Bachelor in 2018, she quit the show before the end of the 15th episode, and in the following and final episode Nick “Honey Badger” Cummins chose no one, and Bachelor in Paradise the following year.

Before Blurton made her decision, the final two contestants were grilled by her BFF’s - Bachelor alum Abbey Chatfield and Amy from Bulrton’s mob.

Garayeli and Dayz failed in “racial literacy” but Chatfield and Amy gave their blessing anyway.
