Sam Frost has revealed she will be getting the COVID-19 vaccine after all.

The Home and Away actor copped a barrage of abuse last month after posting a controversial video to social media telling her followers she had decided to remain unvaccinated.

But in an Instagram post on Tuesday she said she would be fully vaxxed in mid-late February.

Home and Away star Sam Frost sparked an anti-vax furore after she revealed in a now-deleted video that had chosen not to get a COVID-19 vaccine.

The actress, 32, called for 'less judgement' towards Australia's unvaccinated population and admitted that her mental health has struggled as a result. 'I was really hesitant about doing a video or even speaking up about this sort of thing, but I feel like it's getting to a point now in the world where there's a lot of segregation,' she said. The post appears to be trying to head off speculation about Frost’s future, with The Bachelorette star-turned-actor admitting her character Jasmine Delaney would be “temporarily” written out of the long running soap.

“I’m not leaving Home and Away,” she wrote.

“I’ve got a medical procedure booked in for January. So I won’t be fully vaxxed until mid-late February.

“I will be written out temporarily, Jazzy is going on an off-screen adventure for a few weeks.. but I’ll be back.

“My bosses are amazing, we’ve been in open communication for months. Very grateful we were able to make a plan that works for everyone.”

In the now-deleted video that sparked the anti-vax furore, the 32-year-old actress admitted she could “get in trouble” for sharing her views which she described as “insane in itself”.

In the video, Frost asked for “compassion” and “empathy” for those who have made the same decision to not get vaccinated against the deadly coronavirus and said she was “really hesitant about doing a video or even speaking up about this sort of thing”.

Frost was particularly criticised for misusing the word “segregation” in the video, as the dictionary definition being “the separation or isolation of a race, class, or ethnic group”, with one person posting online that she isn’t Rosa Parks and this isn’t 1950s Alabama.
