The son of entertainment reporter Richard Wilkins turned heads in a slinky black dress at Sydney’s No Time To Die premiere on Tuesday night.
The who’s who of Sydney’s social scene were out in force for the long-awaited James Bond premiere last night – and after many months starved of red carpets, they were sure to dress to impress.
Model and son of veteran entertainment reporter Richard Wilkins, Christian Wilkins, turned heads in a slinky black dress at the No Time To Die screening.
The 27-year-old rocked a form-fitting black maxi dress with bold cut-out details and a striking one-shoulder design, flaunting his impressive bicep definition.
Keeping his makeup to a minimum, the model and social media influencer wore his flowing blonde hair down, finishing the look with chunky black boots.
It was a family affair for Christian, who was later seen posing and laughing with his famous dad at the glamorous event.
Today show star Richard, 67, hit the carpet in a velvet blazer, bow tie and black trousers, while his partner Nicola Dale stunned in a sequined dress.
Meanwhile, new Bach couple Holly Kingston and Jimmy Nicholson looked loved up on the night, with Jimmy in a relaxed white suit and Holly donning an emerald green silky dress.
Actress Claudia Karvan kept it casual in a jumpsuit, denim jacket and sneakers.
Model Charlee Fraser turned up the heat and brought the drama in a stunning plunging gown and bold lip.
The $1790 gown by Australian designer Michael Lo Sordo was actually worn by actress Ana de Armas in No Time To Die.
Kerri-Anne Kennerley went for sequins and an eye-catching patterned pant.
Joining the crowd of local celebs was Kylie Gillies in a classic little black dress and heels.
Sports journalist Hannah Hollis opted for a structured white mini dress with statement belt.
Makeup artist Rowi Singh let her outfit details do the talking in a glittery top, strappy platforms and of course – a daring eye makeup look.
Home and Away couple James Stewart and Sarah Roberts both suited up for the night out.
Influencer Jade Tunchy was a vision in white silk with her hair done in shiny curls.
And journalist Leigh Sales kept it sleek in all-black and an up-do.
No Time To Die is due to hit cinemas on November 11 – more than 18 months after its original release date.
It was initially scheduled for release in April 2020, but became the first blockbuster movie to be postponed as coronavirus began to sweep the globe.
The first reschedule was to November 2020 before it was moved again to April 2021. Prior to the latest announcement, it had been slated for an October release.
After five movies starring in the iconic role, Daniel Craig has now officially retired as James Bond.
But his decision to even sign on for No Time To Die was a surprise to many, given his infamous comments in 2015 in Time Out magazine that he would rather “slash my wrists” than reprise the role again.
At the London premiere in September, Craig again made it clear he’s ready to exit the franchise during an awkward exchange with an Aussie journalist.
“Any sadness about this being the last time you’re going down the red carpet?” Reporter Brett McLeod asked him, in an interview which aired on Today.
“Sure, yeah,” the actor replied, before adding, “I don’t know how much I’ll miss this,” gesturing vaguely at the extravagant red carpet event unfolding behind him.
“Maybe. We’ll see. I’ll think about it tomorrow.”
McLeod then asked him whether he’d “do a Sean Connery” and reprise the role down the track, eliciting a very blunt response from the star: “Nope, definitely not.”
The journalist finished up the increasingly uncomfortable exchange by asking Craig whether he had “any preference” on who should replace him as Bond.
Craig’s response? “Not my problem.”
