Keanu Reeves became the target of robbery on Wednesday when his home was broken into by masked thieves, according to reports.
Police responded to an anonymous call about a possible trespasser at the star’s property at around 7pm on Wednesday evening. When officers arrived on the scene they conducted a search and found no one there.
However, police returned to Reeves’ home around 1am after a security alarm sounded on his property and alerted them.
When they arrived at the multi-million dollar LA home, officers reportedly saw “multiple men” in ski masks who were “smashing a window” and entering the property, reported TMZ.
According to sources, the masked thieves took one firearm from the actor’s home before making a run for it. However, it still remains unclear if anything else was taken at the time.
Thankfully, Reeves wasn’t in the property at the time of the break-in, and officers are reportedly investigating whether the first call to the police was made by someone “scoping” the house.
Sadly, it’s not the first time that the actor has been targeted by criminals. He was targeted by intruders twice in 2014, and was recently granted a restraining order against a stalker who turned up to his home earlier this year.
Meanwhile, it’s not been an entirely bad year for the Hollywood hunk, who has revealed he’s blissfully in love with girlfriend Alexandra Grant.
The John Wick actor, 59, quietly began dating visual artist Grant, 50, at some stage over the past few years, with the pair hardly ever speaking about each other publicly.
However, Grant recently lifted the lid on their romance.
