Jimmy Kimmel star Neel Nanda has died at the age of 32, reports say.
Comics including Matt Rife and Dane Cook are among those who have paid tributes to the stage star, The Sun reported.
Nanda was best known for starring on the hit ABC show and also performed on Comedy Central’s Stand Up Presents, which hit the screens in January 2023.
Tributes have poured in and Rife said: “You were one of the nicest, hardest working comedians I’ve ever called a friend.”
Lou Perez described Nanda as both a talented comedian and a warm human being in a post shared on X, formerly Twitter.
Comic Victoria Arnstein said: “He was a gem. He was a great comedian. Sadly, now he’s gone.
“Please check on your friends even when you think they’re OK.
“Even if they make you laugh. Something so simple as a text. Charity isn’t all about giving money.
“It’s about giving time. Way more valuable. Rip Neel Nanda.”
Comedian Dane Cook, known for his dark humour, also paid tribute to the star, who he said he didn’t know personally.
He revealed reading the tributes was heartbreaking and eye-opening.
Cook added: “I echo so many in expressing there is help out there. Please remember you are never alone. People want to help you.”
Nanda had performed at venues such as The Comedy Chateau in Los Angeles.
The venue shared a picture of Nanda on stage and said: “You left us too soon.”
Throughout his career, Nanda starred on the Amazon Prime show Inside Joke and the Hulu series Coming to the Stage.
Nanda also shared his comedy on social media and his Instagram broadcast channel Keeping it Neel.
