Now and then, a photo goes viral online that makes everyone feel a bit old, and Patrick Dempsey and his family have just delivered that in spades.

The family were all together and attending the premier of Neon’s Ferrari, and for most people, it is impossible not to feel a little old looking at the images.
Dempsey, of course, played Derek Sheppard, aka McDreamy, on Grey’s Anatomy. The show practically took over the world in 2005, and he became an international sex symbol.
He played the hot young bachelor doctor that pretty much the entire world lusted over for a moment there.
Now he has a daughter old enough that she could have completed an Art Degree in Australia.
He has continued to dine out on his handsome reputation and captured People’s Sexiest Man of the Year for 2023.
Yet a photo of him with his children, who look all grown-up, does make you realise how quickly time has passed.
People online pointed out that while the whole family looked “stunning” and “beautiful” and the family resemblance was remarkable, it also made some fans feel old.
“His oldest is 21. I feel so old,” one complained.
“He has kids?” Another exclaimed.
“Love that he’s in an age-appropriate relationship with gorgeous children,” another mused.
You know time has passed when your celebrity crush now has adult children.
Weirdly enough, Dempsey has made everyone feel old this year.
When People announced that Dempsey had taken out the title and had the honour of being the sexist man of the year, it was met with a fair share of confusion.
The most unsettling reception has been young people taking to social media to ask who he is.

“Who is Patrick Dempsey?” someone asked.
“Who the hell is Patrick Dempsey?” another demanded.
“You all are making up new people every day; who is Patrick Dempsey?” one accused
The fact Gen Zers appear not to know who Dempsey is and can’t recognise his famous face has caused Millennials to feel old.

Another claimed people not knowing the actor made her realise there was a vast cultural gap between the ages of 23 and 26.
