Pop star and reality television personality Mel B has doubled down on her criticism of James Corden and Jessie J.
The Spice Girl, who first slammed Corden and Jessie last year as the “rudest” celebrities she had ever met, doesn’t appear to have any remorse about her previous remarks.
She first shared her viewers on the pair during a 2022 interview on The Big Narstie Show when co-host Mo Gilligan enquired: “Who is the biggest d***head celebrity you’ve ever met?”
Without hesitation, Mel responded: “So, there’s a few. James Corden, Geri Halliwell, Jessie J and me!”
During an appearance on Joe Lycett’s show Late Night on Friday, Mel B was reminded of the insult she had made 12 months earlier, which caused a stir internationally.
When Lycett quizzed his guests, he asked which Spice Girls member had made the remarks, to which Mel laughed and threw her arm in the air shouting: “Me!”
The star’s original remarks came a few months after a New York City restaurant owner said that Corden was the “most abusive customer” he had served in 25 years, labelling him a “tiny cretin of a man”.
The controversy became so loud that Corden addressed the incident on his show, where he made a public apology over his behaviour.
“Because I didn’t shout or scream, I didn’t get up out of my seat, I didn’t call anyone names or use derogatory language, I’ve been walking around thinking that I haven’t done anything wrong,” Corden said.
“But the truth is I have made a rude, rude comment. And it was wrong. It was an unnecessary comment, it was ungracious to the server.”
He continued: “[I told him] how upset I was that anybody was hurt by anything that I had done and anything that I had said and we had a good talk.
“He appreciated the call. I was happy that we got to clear the air. And I felt like we dealt with it privately … but by this point, the story was out there and more people were upset.
“I also hate, as I said to the owner that day, that I’ve ever upset anybody ever. It was never my intention. It just wasn’t. I love that restaurant. I love the staff there.”

Meanwhile, other celebrities also weighed in on Jessie J following Mel B’s comments, with Drag Race judge Michelle Visage calling out Jessie J “cold”, “not nice” and a “let down”.
She said: “What I loved about Nicki [Minaj] is that she was so … genuine, honest and herself. When superstars come in [to Drag Race] … you don’t know if they’re going to be stand-offish, not nice, a total cold person like Jessie J.”
Michelle added: “I don’t care if you put that in there. It wasn’t nice.”
