Meghan Markle has been named as a speaker at an upcoming virtual summit, alongside her friends Michelle Obama and Priyanka Chopra.
The Duchess of Sussex will be keynote speaker at the 2020 Global Leadership Summit as part of its Girl Up campaign, which has the motto "uniting girls to change the world".
"The present is female! But don't take our word for it. Hear from our keynote speaker Meghan Markle, The Duchess of Sussex, as she takes the stage at our 2020 Leadership Summit, happening virtually July 13-15!" the announcement said.
The Girl Up Global Leadership Summit was started by the United Nations, and states that it is "dedicated to securing equal opportunities for underprivileged adolescent girls in developing countries such as Ethiopia, Malawi, Guatemala, and India".
Meghan has been a long-time campaigner for equality for women and girls.
In January 2020 she visited Vancouver-based social justice charity Justice For Girls, which later shared photos on Twitter of Meghan enjoying a cuppa and conversation with members of its team.
"Yesterday, The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle visited to discuss climate justice for girls and the rights of Indigenous peoples," the organisation wrote.
"Was great to talk about the importance of a holistic approach to social justice, and the power of young women's leadership."
The royal mum also visited the Downtown Eastside Women's Centre to discuss "issues affecting women in the community."

"Look who we had tea with today!" the organisation posted on social media, along with a photo of a beaming Meghan surrounded by staff members.
Meghan's upcoming speaking engagement is thought to have been organised by the Sussexes' New-York-based talent management company, Harry Walker Agency.
The group also represents Michelle and Barack Obama and Hillary and Bill Clinton, as well as journalist Ronan Farrow, Whoopi Goldberg, Amy Schumer and former Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard.
The Global Leadership Summit was originally meant to take place in Washington DC, but has moved to an online format due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
A flyer featuring the Duchess and the yellow Girl Up logo is being distributed.
Prince Harry and Meghan announced their intention to be financially independent following their split from the Royal Family in January 2020.
Just one speaking engagement can earn them up to US $500,000 (AUD $720,000), although it has been reported the Duchess' participation in this summit may be voluntary.
Since their split from the monarchy, the Sussexes have chosen to focus on racial inequality and social justice issues. They have delayed plans to launch their Archewell charitable foundation due to the cornavirus pandemic, as well as to take time to educate themselves about the Black Lives Matter movement.
According to royal expert Katie Nicholl, they're shifting gears and looking at how they can get more involved with the latter.
"The Black Lives Matter movement matters to Meghan and it matters to Harry," she told Entertainment Tonight.
"And I understand that this is going to be an area where we're going to see the couple doing a lot more work and taking a lot more interest."
