It’s a question that’s come up again after Jake Ellis’ dramatic exit from Bachelor in Paradise.

With Jamie Doran confessing he’d love to see Jake’s ex-girlfriend Megan Marx – who he fell for on season one – turn up in Fiji, everyone’s wondering what happened with the former flames after Jake left the show.

Jake decided to leave during a rose ceremony after realising he was still in love with Megan, romantically saying he wanted to return to Australia to fight for his love.

“The rose means something to me and Paradise means something to me,” he said.

“I’ve been to Paradise before. I did find love and it did work for me.

“And, if anything, this experience has taught me that I’m still in love. And I think I’m gonna make the decision to not take someone’s rose that wants to be here when they’re genuine – and not waste anyone’s time.

“I’m gonna take a chance and fight for who I love and who I’m in love with. I am still in love with Megan. I’m hopeful we can find our way back to each other.”

So is the pair back together or will we get the biggest plot twist ever and see Megan turn up in Paradise?

Eagle-eyed fans who follow the pair on social media can decipher some cryptic clues.

Megan’s Instagram page, which is set to private, has posts from the same luxe destination Jake visited.

La Rocher Eco Retreat is in northern NSW, not far from Jake’s hometown of the Gold Coast.

Jake was sure to throw fans off the scent on his public page when he hashtagged that he was #flyingsolo for the supposed March 4 getaway.

He posted pics from the location again on April 2 saying #takemeback and June 18 saying #bestisyettocome and #happy.

But as commenters asked, if he was flying solo, who took the photos?

Perhaps to throw fans off the scent even more Megan replied, “Hey you ended up going!!! How good is it?”

Jake replied that he did but he didn’t fit in the bath, which Megan posted a photo of on January 8 when she too said she was by herself.

We know, however, that the pair are “best friends” and surely wouldn’t find out about each others’ getaway on the ‘gram.

Jake also said the pair caught up for dinner when he got back from Fiji and were “still spending time with each other”.

He told Punkee after his exit that he wouldn’t put a label on their relationship.

“We just care deeply for each other, we’re each other’s best friend and that’s something we just want to continue to grow on,” he said.

“We’ve broke up a few times and we’ve both made some mistakes and that’s not something either of us want to relive.”

Sounds like we won’t be seeing Megan return to Paradise after all. Sorry Jamie!
