Kanye West's team fly to Wyoming to support him amid Twitter outbursts: 'They are very concerned about his mental health' - 9TheFIX

Kanye West's team is standing by him as the rapper seeks medical treatment amid a series of Twitter rants.

West, 43, who has been holed up in Wyoming and recently shared a slew of concerning tweets, has reportedly received support from his childhood friends Don "Don C" Crawley, John Monopoly, and his manager Bu Thiam.

"They are very concerned about his mental health and taking action," an insider told People on July 22 (US Time). "They are working to get him the help he needs. He's been seen by a doctor. He was assessed, and the assessment on Monday determined that he did not need immediate hospitalisation and that he was in a stable mental state at the time."

The source continued: "Don C was the best man at Kanye's wedding and an executive at his G.O.O.D. Music label. John Monopoly is Kanye's former manager. Those close to him are concerned, and this is everyone's top priority to make sure that he's safe and getting the help he needs."

Yesterday, West went on a Twitter tirade which led his wife Kim Kardashian to address his mental state and request "compassion".

"As many of you know, Kanye has bi-polar disorder. Anyone who has this or has a loved one in their life who does, knows how incredibly complicated and painful it is to understand," she wrote.

"I've never spoken publicly about how this has affected us at home because I am very protective of our children and Kanye's right to privacy when it comes to his health. But today, I feel like I should comment on it because of the stigma and misconceptions about mental health."

Earlier in the week, comedian Dave Chappelle also flew to Wyoming to check in on his friend. West posted a video with Chappelle to Twitter with the caption, "THANK YOU DAVE FOR HOPPING ON A JET TO COME SEE ME DOING WELL DAVE YOU ARE A GOD SEND AND A TRUE FRIEND ALL LOVE."
