Fashion writers often speak of outfits that can take their wearer 'from desk to drinks' — but it's very rare an ensemble ever needs to go from a family wedding to work duties.
Well, Queen Elizabeth has shown us all how it's done, attending her granddaughter's wedding and a knighting within a matter of hours. As you do.

Her Majesty wore the same outfit for both occasions on Friday: a patterned dress with a mint green coat and matching hat, teamed with white gloves, pearls, a diamond brooch and pink lipstick.
The first event on the monarch's agenda was Princess Beatrice's wedding to Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, held at the Royal Chapel of All Saints in Great Windsor Park at 11am.
The Queen and Prince Philip, who have been isolating at Windsor Castle since March, were among roughly 20 guests at the private ceremony.
The pink roses on Her Majesty's hat tied in beautifully with her granddaughter's bridal bouquet, which featured various flowers in shades of pink.
However, all eyes were on another of the Queen's garments: the vintage Norman Hartnell evening gown she'd loaned to Beatrice to wear as a wedding dress.

Made from ivory Peau De Soie taffeta and Duchess satin with a diamanté-encrusted bodice, the dress was first worn by Her Majesty in the 60s.
Buckingham Palace said in a statement that it had been remodelled and fitted ahead of Beatrice's wedding by Angela Kelly and Stewart Parvin.
The bride also borrowed her grandmother's Queen Mary diamond fringe tiara, which the Queen wore on her own wedding day in 1947.
Following the wedding celebrations, the Queen returned to Windsor Castle for her first in-person royal engagement since the COVID-19 pandemic began.
The monarch knighted Captain Sir Tom Moore, a 100-year-old WWII veteran who raised $AUD57 million for the UK's National Health Service by walking 100 laps around his backyard.

Queen Elizabeth is known for her colourful outfits, and her vivid aesthetic often extends to royal weddings.
Her Majesty wore a pale blue outfit for Princess Eugenie's 2018 wedding; earlier that year, she chose bright lime green for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's nuptials.
