Zayn Malik has reportedly been charged with harassing ex Gigi Hadid and shoving her mother, Yolanda, as the model’s siblings unfollow him.
Zayn Malik has been charged with harassing his baby mama Gigi Hadid and her mother Yolanda after a verbal and “physical” altercation at his Pennsylvania home.
The singer previously claimed the incident was a “private matter” that should remain between family and denied assault claims.
But it emerged othat Malik, 28, had been charged with crimes against Gigi and Yolanda Hadid.
The Sun later confirmed Malik was charged on Wednesday with four counts of ‘Harassment – Course of Conduct W/No Legitimate Purpose’ from a September 29 incident.
It comes as it Gigi’s siblings close ranks around the supermodel. Sister Bella Hadid and brother Anwar, as well as Anwar’s girlfriend Dua Lipa have all unfollowed Malik on social media.
According to TMZ, the father of one was “charged with four criminal offences of harassment”, and has pleaded no contest.
In documents obtained by the outlet, Malik was at the home he shared with Gigi in Pennsylvania on September 29 before an argument broke out.
He allegedly “called Yolanda a f***ing Dutch s**t,” and commanded her to “stay away from [my] f***ing daughter.”
He also referred to the infant as “the f***ing sperm that came out of [my] f***ing c***”, according to court documents.
Malik then allegedly “shoved [Yolanda] into a dresser causing mental anguish and physical pain,” though the singer has denied any sort of physical contact.
According to court documents, the UK native then screamed at Gigi, the mother of their one-year-old daughter Khai, to: “strap on some f***ing balls and defend your partner against your f***ing mother in my house.”
The report also revealed that a security guard was on property during the altercation, and the X-Factor alum yelled “get the f*** out of my f***ing house copper” before trying to fight the officer.
Malik pleaded no contest Wednesday to harassment and was fined, according to TMZ shared, but will have “conditions” on his case.
An earlier statement by Malik “adamantly” denied Yolanda’s “false allegations” that he struck her during an argument.
In a statement shared on Twitter, Malik said he wanted to create “a place where private family matters aren’t thrown on the world stage for all to poke and pick apart,” adding that the incident “was and still should be a private matter.”
Malik also revealed there was a “divisiveness” within the family.
The young father will face 90 days probation for each count, with a total of “360 days, the outlet reports.
The Dusk Till Dawn singer must also reportedly complete an anger management class and a domestic violence program.
And he has also been ordered to not speak or make contact with both Yolanda and the security guard on duty at that time, TMZ reports.
If the performer has “satisfied” all conditions of the case for six months, the judge has the authority to “terminate probation.”
Tensions began rising between Malik and the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star when she “leaked their pregnancy news” though he wanted it to remain private.
“Tension really started between Yolanda and Zayn last year when he suspected she was the one who leaked their pregnancy news in the first place.
“Gigi and Zayn didn’t want to announce it publicly until after Gigi gave birth. With lockdown, it was the perfect time to give them that privacy they never would have had otherwise,” they disclosed.
“They were so grateful for that privacy and they were very upset when it came out. Zayn is a very, very private person and while dating him, Gigi has become a lot more private too.”
The source also alleged that Zayn feels Yolanda does not have the “same sense of privacy” which has led to the two “clashing.”
“They also have very different parenting styles and both are extremely stubborn when it comes to Khai,” they added.
The couple welcomed their daughter, Khai, in September 2020 after five years of on-again-off-again dating.
