The controversial brothers of The Block have unleashed on producers a day after receiving the lowest score of the season for their ‘horrendous’ room.
The Block’s Josh and Luke fired up at producers during Monday night’s open house inspections, storming off while swearing and ranting about not wanting to be filmed.
It comes after the twins received just 8 points for their “filthy” room reveal, with Neale, Shaynna and Darren horrified by the state of their building site and left feeling as though they’d given up on the competition.
The boys had branded the Block experts “disrespectful” and told them to “f**ck off” during Sunday’s scoring, and it looks like they brought their foul tempers into the following night’s episode, too.
True to form, Luke and Josh were damning of the other contestants’ offerings as the teams took a look around at each other’s work.
Turning their noses up at winning team Ronnie and Georgia’s sun room space, Luke was quick to point out his perceived flaws.
“You can’t really call that a fourth bedroom, but since the judges love them ‘oh it’s a fourth bedroom’,” Josh spat.
On visiting Kirsty and Jessie’s wine bar, he questioned the purpose of the second-place room.
“What are you going to do down here? It’s a wasted space,” he said.
But when the pair descended the stairs of Tanya and Vito’s games room, they’d had enough.
“What are you doing?,” a producer asked as the boys turned to leave.
“What do you mean what am I doing? I’m f**king sick of it. I don’t have to talk. I don’t have to,” Luke barked at the producer.
Turning around on the stairs, he added: “When I’m getting judged and I’m getting 2s and 3s … it’s bullsh*t and I’ve had enough of it. There is no way I deserved and 2 and 3, I’m over it.
“I just want to finish my build in peace. If I don’t want to talk I don’t have to talk,” he concluded.
While the boys made it clear they wouldn’t be partaking in the weekly walk through, the other teams made sure to see the week’s 8-point scoring space for themselves.
“This is just a space that doesn’t even work, from a layout point of view,” Georgia pointed out of the odd study/fourth bedroom.
“They should have left this whole space as a garage,” said Mitch, referring to the boys opting to use their garage area for their master bedroom back in week one.
“If Josh and Luke should step into a DeLorean, go back into the past, at that point where they decided to go against an architect of 30 years …,” Ronnie joked of the building disaster.
Facing producers, Josh admitted: “I’m just upset because I’m worried that we’re going to be out of the running, we’ve put a lot of our time and energy into flipping that section to get in front of the game and now it’s just been a complete disaster with that room.”
The teams will this week present their front yards and house facades for judging before auction day, with it already clear Ronnie and Georgia will be choosing the auction order given their 7-point lead.
