‘Bride and Prejudice’ star James Ciseau killed in horror Queensland crash - NEWS.com.au

Tributes have begun to pour in for a former reality TV show star who has died in a horror head-on crash in Queensland.

Sunshine Coast man James Ciseau, who was known for his role in the 2019 edition of Bride and Prejudice, has died in a horrific head-on crash at Beerwah in Queensland.

The man’s heartbroken younger sisters have paid a beautiful tribute to their “brother bear and protector”.

The Courier Mail reported the popular pool builder, 36, has been remembered by loved ones for his “heart of gold”, his “jovial” nature and for how he chose to live a life of happiness.

The Woombye father-of-two and former Bride and Prejudice star passed away after a crash at the intersection of Roys Rd and Dianella Rd, inBeerwah about 4pm on Monday, November 29.

His sisters Lauren and Jacinta Ciseau were supported by family on Tuesday morning and gathered to share their fondest memories of their brother.

Lauren, 33, described him as her “brother bear” and a “protector” who possessed a “heart of gold”.

The trio grew up with the closest of bonds.

She said he had the rare ability to strike up a relationship with just about anyone.

“James was loved by anyone he met, he’d walk into a room and would make it brighter, like a ray of sunshine,” she said.

“He had so much energy and constantly wanted to be around people.

“His favourite word to describe himself was jovial.”

Jacinta, 34, said her brother was the “most caring human”.

“You’d see him speaking to someone at the shops and you’d assume he knew them, then you’d ask him and they’d be strangers. He just had the time of day for anyone,” Ms Ciseau said.

“He touched so many lives.”

Family was everything to Mr Ciseau, from his doting daughters Olivia-Rose and Bella-Pearl, to the “smart arse” comments he made to his sisters and cooking for those closest to him.

“He was the most amazing father to those girls, they would look up to him so much,” Mr Ciseau’s youngest sister said.

“He was the same with his nieces and nephews, so close with the kids and as a husband.

“Family time was his all. Any spare time he had he would spend with us.”

Mourners from his far reaching circles, including Sunshine Coast football where he and his father Brian were involved, offered condolences on social media.

Mr Ciseau had been working as a pool builder and lived at Woombye with his mum Deborah and stepfather Barry up until his death.

A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said on Tuesday morning the cause of the “head on” crash was under investigation.

Meghan Markle denies leaving staff traumatised according to BBC documentary The Princes and the Press - NEWS.com.au

Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, has hit back at claims she bullied staff to the point they “shook” and left some “psychologically traumatised”.

Meghan Markle’s lawyer has denied claims the Duchess left staff so terrified that they “shook” – and that she left her aides “psychologically traumatised”.

The Sun reports that the BBC’s controversial new documentary The Princes And The Press last night focused on how Harry and Meghan quit the Royal Family, with The Sun’s explosive Megxit revelations featuring heavily.

The Times’ royal correspondent Valentine Low, who broke the story of bullying claims, told presenter Amol Rajan: “These people, I know, two and a half years later, when I’m writing this story — some of them were in tears.

“They were still severely psychologically traumatised. So, something went badly wrong.”

Jason Knauf, the Sussexes’ former communications chief, played a key role in the revelations at the time, reportedly complaining about the treatment of three female colleagues he claimed had been driven out of the royal household by the duchess. The royal aide now works for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

But Meghan’s lawyer Jenny Afia, of firm Schillings, replied: “There were massive inaccuracies in that story. It’s hard to prove a negative. If you haven’t bullied someone, how do you show you haven’t?”

Lawyers for the royals are reportedly on standby to take action against the BBC for “unfounded” claims made in the controversial documentary.

The Queen, William and Kate Middleton are reportedly considering cutting off the BBC forever.

The three senior royals, together with Prince Charles and Camilla, have already issued a robust joint statement blasting bosses for airing “overblown and unfounded claims” by contributors.

And the Cambridges have already banned the national broadcaster from screening their Christmas carol concert, instead handing the rights to ITV.

There was also Palace anger that Meghan arranged for her lawyer to appear on the BBC documentary and answer questions on her behalf.

She was the only Royal Family member to take part — raising the possibility the BBC told her what was going to be in the documentary while leaving the rest of the royals in the dark.

Meanwhile, the second part of the doc has been titled ‘Sussexit’ – after Harry claimed the term ‘Megxit’ was a “misogynistic term” that was “created by a troll [and] amplified by royal correspondents”.

Prince William has reportedly banned his aides from ever briefing against family members after seeing the devastating impact of his parents’ media war first-hand.

A ‘rock star’ trailblazer who was an inspiration for Indigenous actors and filmmakers - The Sydney Morning Herald

Warning: This story contains the name and images of a deceased Indigenous person. David Dalaithngu’s image has been reproduced with his family’s consent. His family has requested he be referred to as Dalaithngu rather than his more commonly-known name.

A riveting presence on screen. A rock star without a band. A national treasure.

The great Indigenous actor David Dalaithngu, who has died at the age of 68, is being remembered as a trailblazer for other Indigenous actors and filmmakers as well as a compelling talent on screen for more than 50 years.

The star of films including Storm Boy, Crocodile Dundee, Rabbit Proof Fence, The Tracker, Australia and Charlie’s Country went from a largely tribal childhood in Arnhem Land to international acclaim after British director Nicolas Roeg cast him in the 1971 film Walkabout.

A Yolngu man of the Mandjalpingu clan who was also a dancer, singer and painter, Dalaithngu’s acting has brought acclaim and awards ever since.

“I don’t pretend,” he said of his performances in this year’s documentary My Name Is Gulpilil. “I don’t have to go and act. I just jump in and stand there and the camera sees me.”

After being given six months to live when diagnosed with lung cancer in 2017, Dalaithngu lasted another four years during treatment with “white fellas’ medicine” near Adelaide.

David Dalaithngu recounted a life of extremes in Molly Reynold’s documentary My Name Is Gulpilil.

At one of his final public appearances for the Adelaide Festival premiere of My Name Is Gulpilil in March, an audience of 1500 gave him a minute-long standing ovation when he arrived on stage in a wheelchair looking frail. He rose to his feet and, in an unscheduled speech, told them: “Today I will think of you and you will think of me”.

Writer, director and cinematographer Warwick Thornton, whose work includes Samson & Delilah, Sweet Country and the coming television series Firebite, described Dalaithngu as “a rock star without a band”.

“He was the most enigmatic legend, just an empowering person,” he said. “Whether he was walking in the room or standing in front of a camera he just took control of everything; he owned it.

“He was a really genuine human being, who struggled in life and made the best of it.”

Thornton described Dalaithngu as “a leader” for being one of the first Indigenous people on screen in the 1970s.

“For us to play ourselves, to be acknowledged that we are part of this country, was so empowering, because before that it was just kookaburras and didgeridoos,” he said. “His legacy will live on. The body may die but the spirit never will.”

Indigenous writer-director Ivan Sen called Dalaithngu, who acted in his film Goldstone, an icon.

“When you cast him, he brings a whole history of not only film culture but the Country to the role,” he said. “That’s the thing about film: it’s immortality, so his presence will continue and he’ll continue to shape this country through the work he’s done.”

Sen said part of Dalaithngu’s rich talent was how he could communicate non-verbally on screen.

“He didn’t have to actually say things,” he said. “He communicated with his eyes. There are a few roles where he wasn’t given much weight by the scriptwriter but he delivered that weight by his visual and physical presence.”

Sen, whose other films include Beneath Clouds and Mystery Road, said seeing Dalaithngu in Storm Boy was inspiring for an Indigenous kid.

Writer, director and actor Leah Purcell, who has been winning acclaim for the film The Drover’s Wife The Legend Of Molly Johnson, said she learnt subtlety from Dalaithngu.

“It wasn’t until I watched [him] that you go ‘that’s acting’,” she said. “There will never be another David ... his intelligence, his knowing, his cheekiness.”

There were tributes from non-Indigenous filmmakers including Baz Luhrmann, who called him “a unique person and a unique Australian”, and Phillip Noyce, who called him “the world’s most prominent embodiment of Australian Aboriginal culture for 50 years” and a “national treasure”.

Director Rolf de Heer, who collaborated with Dalaithngu on Ten Canoes, The Tracker and Charlie’s Country, called him a genuinely great actor with an “uncanny ability to engage with the camera and treat it like a friend”.

Olympic track star Cathy Freeman tweeted “Thank you for the inspiration”. Nicole Kidman, who starred with him in Australia, called his death “deeply, deeply sad” and said it was “an honour to know him and to work with him”. Co-star Hugh Jackman posted that he joined Australians around the world in mourning the loss of a man whose “contribution to film was immeasurable”.

Knowing the end was near, de Heer and partner Molly Reynolds, who directed My Name Is Gulpilil, pledged to return him to his beloved Country, Gulparil in Arnhem Land.

Bradley Cooper reveals he was held at knifepoint on New York subway - NEWS.com.au

The Oscar-nominated actor has detailed his horror after being held at knifepoint on a New York subway, as he revealed how he managed to escape.

Bradley Cooper has revealed he was held up at knifepoint on NYC’s subway as he was on his way to pick up his daughter Lea.

The incident occurred in 2019 as the actor was approached by a young man with a knife, the New York Post reports.

“I used to walk around New York City all the time with these [headphones] on – this was pre-pandemic. I was on the subway to pick [up] Lea downtown at Russian school and I got held up at knifepoint,” he said on Monday’s episode of Dax Shepard’s podcast Armchair Expert.

“It was pretty insane. I realised I had gotten way, way too comfortable in the city.

“My guard was down … I was all the way at the end of the subway. Innately, I would just go all the way down to the end. I felt somebody coming up. I thought, ‘Oh they want to take a photo or something.’ As I turned, I’m up against the post like it’s the French Connection or some sh*t, and I turned. I looked down and I see a knife.”

The Hangover actor described the weapon as a “nice knife” with “some history” behind it. And because he had his headphones in and was listening to music when he was approached, he joked that the scary incident was “scored”.

“I can’t remember [what I was listening to]. I look up, I see the person’s eyes, and I’m taken by how young they are,” he said.

Despite being taught to never run if approached by someone with a weapon, Cooper instinctively bolted for the exit of the station.

“I … just started running. I jumped over the turnstile, hid around the white, tiled entrance to the subway [and] took my phone out,” the 46-year-old said.

“He jumped over, running away. I took a photo of him. Then I chased him up the stairs. He started running up 7th Avenue. I took two more photographs of him.”

Cooper then flagged down two police officers in a nearby SUV to show them the photos of the culprit.

“The guy kept saying – it was so interesting – he’s like, ‘Are you stabbed?’ I was like, ‘No, no.’ He was like, ‘Check to see if you’re stabbed.’ What happens is people get stabbed and they’re in shock,” Cooper recalled.

“I looked to see if he was right … And then I got back on the subway and picked up my daughter.”

An NYPD spokesperson told Page Six that there was no complaint by Cooper on file.

Cooper shares his four-year-old daughter Lea De Seine with his longtime ex-partner Irina Shayk. They dated for four years before splitting in 2019.

Meghan Markle conversation that brought William and Harry undone - NEWS.com.au

There have long been reports about a conversation between Prince William and Prince Harry that triggered their falling out. Now we know what was said.

Prince Harry was allegedly so enraged by Prince William questioning his whirlwind romance with Meghan Markle that he blurted out to his older brother, “Who the hell do you think you are?”

The allegation was made by author Christopher Andersen in his new book being released on Tuesday titled Brothers and Wives: Inside the Private Lives of William, Kate, Harry, and Meghan, according toFox News.

In it, Andersen quoted a source who claimed the outburst occurred in September 2017 when Harry, 37, hinted he was going to propose to his American actress girlfriend.

William, second in line to the throne, then asked his sibling, “Why rush things?”

William, 39, allegedly then contacted their uncle, Earl Charles Spencer, and expressed his concerns about Harry’s relationship moving too quickly.

Andersen noted that William, who can be “very stiff”, allegedly feared that Markle was “an opportunist”.

Andersen wrote that Harry was “furious that his brother was actively seeking to have others interfere in his personal affairs”.

The author also revealed that both William and his wife, Kate Middleton, were “alarmed” by the numerous tell-alls that Markle’s estranged father, half-sister and half-brother gave to the tabloids.

William allegedly told a confidant: “I don’t know what to believe.”

He even apparently told his father Prince Charles that Harry’s relationship with Markle was “like something I’d never seen” and “it feels like I have lost my best friend”.

William had a lengthier courtship with Middleton, 39. They were together for eight years before they tied the knot in 2011. Harry and Meghan, 40, met on a blind date in 2016 and announced their engagement in November 2017.

Representatives for Kensington Palace, as well as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, didn’t immediately respond to Fox News’ request for comment.

Photo moved by Queen before Christmas message

Elsewhere, Andersen has made several other bombshell allegations in his book.

He claimed when filming her Christmas message, the Queen had a palace aide move a portrait of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and their son Archie out of shot, Page Six reported.

The insider alleged that the 95-year-old “looked over the tables where the photographs she had so lovingly selected were arranged”.

“All were fine but one, [the Queen] told the director,” the source alleged. “Then she pointed to the Sussex picture and said: ‘That one, I suppose we don’t need that one.’”

That year, Harry had chosen to spend Christmas with his mother-in-law Doria Ragland alongside his wife and their son in Canada instead of the UK, the outlet reported.

William was allegedly “aghast” when he saw the photo in question missing from the line-up. The source alleged that the Prince told his wife that Harry was likely to be “terribly upset”.

Following the broadcast, Harry allegedly told a friend that he “felt as if he, Meghan and Archie were being erased from the family”.

In January 2020, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced they were stepping back as senior members of the royal family.

A spokesperson for the Queen told Fox News: “We never comment on these sort of books.”

Book points finger at Charles

Andersen also alleged that Charles was the royal who speculated about Archie’s skin tone before he was born.

In March 2020, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex sat down for a tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey during which they made shocking allegations about their time in the royal family.

One of the most provocative claims was when Meghan revealed a member of the royal family had “concerns” about the colour of her child’s skin before he was born.

At the time, Harry made sure to note that it was not the Queen or Prince Philip, leaving the door open to speculation.

A source close to the royal family alleged to Andersen that Charles wondered aloud about the child’s complexion during a conversation in 2017 that took place shortly after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex got engaged.

“I wonder what the children will look like?” the 73-year-old reportedly told his wife, Camilla, as quoted by Page Six.

Camilla was reportedly “somewhat taken aback” and noted that the child would be “gorgeous”.

Allegedly lowering his voice, Charles asked: “I mean, what do you think their children’s complexion might be?”

Representatives for Clarence House didn’t immediately respond to Fox News’ request for comment. However, a spokesperson told New York Post: “This is fiction and not worth further comment.”

The book claimed that Prince Charles was merely voicing an innocuous curiosity about what the child might look like.

The outlet reported that Charles’ musings were quickly twisted by courtiers and given a much more toxic and racist spin by the time Meghan and Harry heard about them.

Nick Bullen, an award-winning documentarian as well as the co-founder and editor-in-chief of True Royalty TV, previously told Fox News that he believes Charles is “heartbroken” over Harry’s allegations to Oprah that they were no longer close. The filmmaker has worked with the Prince of Wales for nearly a decade.

“I think the Prince of Wales must be shocked and heartbroken,” Bullen told Fox News last year. “Imagine if any member of your family, especially your son or daughter, goes on television and says, ‘My relationship has broken down with my father?’ Even if it’s true, the world now knows. So I think the Prince of Wales must be heartbroken.”

“I have no doubt in my mind the man cares about his son,” Bullen said. “We’ve only really heard one side of the story. And so far, Meghan and Harry have won the PR war.”

Shortly after the interview aired, Buckingham Palace issued a 60-word statement on behalf of the Queen.

“The whole family is saddened to learn the full extent of how challenging the last few years have been for Harry and Meghan,” the statement said.

“The issues raised, particularly that of race, are concerning,” the statement added. “While some recollections may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be addressed by the family privately. Harry, Meghan and Archie will always be much loved family members.”

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex now live in Montecito, California.

On June 4, the couple welcomed their second child, a daughter named Lilibet “Lili” Diana Mountbatten-Windsor. The name pays tribute to both the Queen, whose family nickname is Lilibet and his late mother, Princess Diana.

Mariah Carey gets Waleed Aly's name wrong on The Project | news.com.au — Australia's leading news site - NEWS.com.au

The Project host Waleed Aly’s interview with Mariah Carey got off to a bumpy start last night when the singer made an awkward faux-pas.

The Project’s interview with Mariah Carey got off to a bumpy start on Monday night when the music superstar got interviewer Waleed Aly’s name wrong.

“Hi, Maleed,” Mariah said sweetly as she greeted Aly via videolink from a wildly festive setting.

Aly glanced off-camera, but chose not to correct the singer and instead forged ahead with the interview, which focused on Mariah’s upcoming Christmas special – her second in two years.

And Carey also opened up about the inspiration behind her top-selling Christmas anthem All I Want For Christmas Is You, a song she wrote in just 15 minutes in 1994 and which The Project reported has since made her around $83 million.

But Carey, who opened up about her difficult upbringing in recent memoir The Meaning of Mariah, explained that the song was borne out of a wish to have the sort of perfect, drama-free Christmas she never got as a child.

“I grew up not having great Christmases and wanting that thing you see on TV where everybody’s happy and everything is beautiful. But I had a very dysfunctional family and a lot of issues about myself. After I wrote All I Want For Christmas Is You, very early on in my career, I started every year being able to create what I want to do for the holidays.”

“I’m thankful for it … it comes from a real place. Longing, but also being celebratory.”

And at interview’s end, when Aly thanked Carey for her time, she obviously decided not to risk trying out his name again: “Thank you, dahling,” she said.

Back at the desk, the other Project hosts ribbed him about the awkward moment.

“Maleed … that’s pretty cool, from Mariah. You’ll take Maleed from Mariah,” said Carrie Bickmore.

David Gulpilil dies aged 68 - ABC News

Pioneering Indigenous actor David Gulpilil Ridjimiraril Dalaithngu AM has died aged 68.

Gulpilil was from the Mandhalpingu clan of the Yolŋu people and was raised in Arnhem land.

News of the actor's passing was shared with a statement from South Australian Premier Steven Marshall.

"It is with deep sadness that I share with the people of South Australia the passing of an iconic, once-in-a-generation artist who shaped the history of Australian film and Aboriginal representation on screen – David Gulpilil Ridjimiraril Dalaithngu AM," said the statement.

Gulpilil was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer, and was told he only had months to live.

A documentary about his life was created following the diagnosis, called My Name is Gulpilil — a film about the actor’s journey.

Mr Marshall wrote: "I was lucky enough to meet David Gulpilil on a number of occasions – most recently in March this year at the Premiere of his last film My Name is Gulpilil, in which he tells his own story, directed by Molly Reynolds.

"This final film, 50 years after his breakthrough on screen, saw Gulpilil credited for the first time in his career as a producer — alongside Reynolds, filmmaker Rolf de Heer and Yolŋu filmmaker Peter Djigirr.

"He was a man who loved his land and his culture, and he was a man who took it to the world.

"My thoughts are with his family, and his dear friend and carer Mary Hood."

The family of Gulpilil has advised that his name and image may be used in accordance with his wishes, following his passing.

Miley Cyrus jokes about infamous bong smoking video - NEWS.com.au

Miley Cyrus has posted a cheeky throwback photo in an effort to reclaim a moment that threatened to derail her career 11 years ago.

Miley Cyrus has marked the 11-year anniversary of her infamous teenage bong video with a cheeky message to fans.

The former Hannah Montana starlet courted controversy in December 2010 when footage leaked online showing her, five days after 18th birthday, using a bong to smoke the psychoactive drug salvia.

The footage showed Cyrus, laughing and drug-affected, announcing that she’d had a “bad trip”.

At the time, it threatened to derail her career, prompting her to lose an endorsement deal with Walmart and landing her an embarrassing public dressing down from her father Billy Ray Cyrus.

“Sorry guys,” Billy Ray tweeted to fans as the video circulated. “I had no idea. I’m so sad. There is much beyond my control right now.”

In a Marie Claire interview shortly after the video leaked, Miley referred to it as a “mistake … I’m disappointed in myself for disappointing my fans”.

Eleven years on and long past Cyrus’ squeaky-clean Disney image, it seems time has given the singer a new lens through which to reflect on the video.

Tweeting out stills from the footage, Cyrus simply wrote: “11 years ago. Can we petition for a national holiday?”

The tongue-in-cheek tweet comes after a slightly more contemplative anniversary message last year, when the star wrote: “Happy 10 year anniversary to the groundbreaking video of a teenager smoking a bong & saying dumb sh*t to their friends. (Not so sure the director of this fine film should be considered a ‘friend’ but …).”

In a follow-up tweet, Cyrus added: “Time really flew by. I remember this like it was yesterday..... J/K I don’t remember sh*t cause I was f**ked the hell up. #YesItWasReallySalvia #IfYouFindWeedThatDoesThisToYouSHARE.”

Cyrus, who released her seventh studio album Plastic Hearts late last year, was snubbed from the list of Grammy nominees released last week, taking to Twitter to react.

Sharing a story about the 30 artists who have never won a Grammy, the former actress wrote: “In good company.” The list included the likes of ABBA, Diana Ross and Queen.

Australia's fashion industry mourns Louis Vuitton designer Virgil Abloh - ABC News

Leading fashion designer Virgil Abloh is being mourned by those who knew him, and those who didn't, but were inspired by who he was, and what he represented.

Abloh, the menswear designer of Louis Vuitton, died from an aggressive, and rare form of cancer – cardiac angiosarcoma. He was 41.

Australian creator and art director of Le Prime Apparel, Sammy Benbow, told the ABC that Abloh broke down barriers and shattered expectations of how things should be done, paving the way for designers like him.

He was shocked by news of Abloh's death, reflecting on his legacy.

"He was a man with a passion and a drive … and I know he's done a lot. And I know he didn't stop," Benbow said.

Benbow began taking a keen interest in Abloh's work about six years ago, and said Abloh challenged the norm and took himself into a lot of spaces people wouldn't expect him to be in.

Abloh's achievements were many. He was Louis Vuitton's first Black artistic director, and was nominated for a Grammy as Art Director for Kanye West and Jay-Z's 2011 album Watch the Throne.

He also founded the brand Off-White, described as defining the grey area between black and white, and putting a spin on high fashion.

Benbow said he also made his mark in the digital space.

"Virgil was one of the first successful people to build a brand mostly on social media," Benbow said.

Benbow started his brand in the Blue Mountains before moving to Marrickville in Sydney's inner west. Born in Lesotho, his designs are inspired by his South African heritage and Australian upbringing.

He strives to combine bold colours and African prints with Western designs.

"I'm a person who lives in both worlds," he said.

"So, I want people who are not from South Africa or Lesotho, where I was born, interested in and comfortable with colours and designs from that place where I'm from, and vice versa."

He said Abloh paved the way for others.

"He meant a lot to people.

"To people of colour, he appeared as a symbol of no fear, strength and, drive … he opened the gateway for people who may have feared that they can't do certain things, or they can't be in certain places. He was just a symbol of bravery."

Alison Veness is the Editor of 10 Magazine Australia and Visual Director of Vogue Australia.

She knew Abloh personally, and was shocked and saddened by his death.

Speaking to the ABC, Ms Veness said the entire fashion industry worldwide was mourning his loss, as well as those locally who have met him or know his work.

She said Abloh helped people throughout the industry, particularly Black businesses in the US, and worldwide.

"He was a generous man, and above everything, he used his new-found wealth, I suppose, and his position and his power to good effect.

Ms Veness said Abloh was successful because of his passion, and because he listened to people.

"He listened to kids, what they want," she said.

"He was very tuned in to his own world that he's come from and what people might want. And he brought something new, with his creativity. And that's why he's been successful."

Prince Charles ‘calls in lawyers’ as he’s named as royal who made ‘skin colour’ comment in book Brothers And Wives: Inside the Private Lives of William, Kate and Meghan - 7NEWS.com.au

Prince Charles has reportedly “called in lawyers” over claims made in a new book.

Page Six published details of the allegations that feature in Christopher Andersen’s US book Brothers And Wives: Inside the Private Lives of William, Kate and Meghan, at the weekend.

Included is the claim that Prince Charles asked a question about what colour the then-unborn child of his son Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may have.

The book alleges that Charles asked his wife Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall over breakfast: “I wonder what the children will look like?”

The book claims a “somewhat taken aback” Camilla replied: “Well, absolutely gorgeous, I’m certain.”

To which, Prince Charles is alleged to have said in a “lowered” voice: “I mean, what do you think their children’s complexion might be?”

Clarence House has slammed the account, telling British publication The Sun: “This is fiction and not worth further comment.”

The publication reported the prince had “called in lawyers” over the published claims.

“The claims are utterly ridiculous,” an insider told The Sun.

“There is more of a concern that commenting on it will simply sell more books than actually damage Charles’ reputation.”

During her bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey, Meghan previously claimed there were “several conversations” with Prince Harry about “how dark Archie’s skin might be when he was born”.

The bi-racial actress declined to say who it was that had the conversations with her husband about Archie’s skin colour as it would be “very damaging” to them.

Harry confirmed that he was questioned about the skin tone of his son, but he didn’t identify who made the remarks or when they were made.

“That conversation I’m never going to share. But at the time, it was awkward, I was a bit shocked,” he said.

“I’m not comfortable sharing it.”

It was later revealed that Harry told Oprah the racist remarks were not made by the Queen or her husband, Prince Philip.

Nic Cage, 27yo wife, snapped in rare pics - NEWS.com.au

Actor Nicolas Cage has made a rare appearance with his 27-year-old wife, looking barely recognisable in a bizarre outfit.

Nicolas Cage was all business in rare photos of him and his much younger wife walking through New York’s JFK airport together.

The 57-year-old and his seldom-seen wife, Riko Shibata, 27, strolled through the airport hand-in-hand, just months after the actor was unceremoniously booted from a fancy Las Vegas restaurant in an alleged “drunken stupor”, The Sun reports.

The Ghost Rider star continued his tradition of unique outfits, wearing a hot pink shirt with fellow actor William Shatner’s face emblazoned across the front, under a black fur lined leather trench coat.

He paired the ensemble with black velvet trousers, boots and a black fedora hat. Not to mention carrying an additional hat in his right hand.

Nic has kept a low profile since he was filmed being kicked out of Lawry’s Prime Rib near the famous Las Vegas strip in September.

Exclusive video footage obtained by The Sun showed the Oscar winner being escorted out after getting into a drunken tiff with staff.

Eyewitnesses at first mistook the star – who won an Oscar for his portrayal of an alcoholic in Leaving Las Vegas – for a drunk homeless person.

They told The Sun that according to staff Nicolas had been drinking expensive whiskey and shots of tequila before becoming belligerent.

Wearing leopard pants and flip-flops, the actor was filmed sitting on a sofa while barefoot and struggling to get his sandals on before staggering around and shouting.

He was then blocked from apparently attempting to come back into the eatery by a woman believed to be a female member of staff in the incident on September 13.

A source, who asked to remain anonymous, told The Sun: “We were at that bar at Lawry’s when we noticed what we at first thought was a homeless man completely drunk and being rowdy.

“To our shock it turned to be Nicolas Cage. He was completely smashed and was getting into a bit of a fight with the staff.

“He was in a really bad state and was walking around shoeless. Staff told us he had been downing shots of tequila and 1980 Macallan whiskey.

“He was shouting at people and trying to get into fights and then staff asked him to leave.

“He was so drunk he could barely get his flip flops on before being escorted out.

“He asked us if we wanted to come back to his place but he was in a bad way so we didn’t think it was a good idea.

“One of the regulars ended up taking him home.”

Cage’s eventful year

In February this year Cage got married for the fifth time, to Riko Shibata, – who is 30 years his junior – in an intimate ceremony at the Wynn Casino in Las Vegas.

The movie star’s latest nuptials comes less than two years after his famously disastrous four-day marriage to his fourth wife, Erika Koike.

Just a few months later, the Con Air star lost his mother, Joy Vogelsang.

The former modern dancer died on the night of May 26 after spending two weeks in hospital.

Mother-of-three Joy was reportedly plagued by schizophrenia and severe depression when Oscar-winning actor Nicolas, now 57, was a child.

She got divorced from the actor’s late university professor dad August Coppola in 1976, when the future National Treasure star was just 12.

But Nicolas credited her as the “driving force” behind his creativity.

Fallen crown

Then, in July, his next big role fell apart, when he pulled out of playing Tiger King’s Joe Exotic and Amazon cancelled a planned series.

Nicolas, 57, said he had decided to step down from the role after leaning Amazon Studios were getting cold feet.

At the time, he explained: “I read two excellent scripts, which I did think were excellent, but I think Amazon ultimately felt that it was material that had become past tense because it took so long for it to come together.

“They felt at one point that it was lightning in a bottle, but that point has since faded into the distance and it’s no longer relevant.”

Louis Vuitton menswear designer Virgil Abloh dies, aged 41 - The Sydney Morning Herald

The fashion world is in shock at the death of Louis Vuitton menswear designer, founder of the label Off-White and frequent Kanye West collaborator Virgil Abloh after a two-year battle with cardiac angiosarcoma, a rare form of cancer.

For many people, the first news of Abloh’s illness was the statement on his verified Instagram account announcing his death on Sunday.

“We are devastated to announce the passing of our beloved Virgil Abloh, a fiercely devoted father, husband, son, brother, and friend. He is survived by his loving wife Shannon Abloh, his children Lowe Abloh and Grey Abloh, his sister Edwina Abloh, his parents Nee and Eunice Abloh, and numerous dear friends and colleagues,” the post said of the 41-year-old.

“For over two years, Virgil valiantly battled a rare, aggressive form of cancer, cardiac angiosarcoma. He chose to endure his battle privately since his diagnosis in 2019, undergoing numerous challenging treatments, all while helming several significant institutions that span fashion, art, and culture.

“Through it all, his work ethic, infinite curiosity, and optimism never wavered. Virgil was driven by his dedication to his craft and to his mission to open doors for others and create pathways for greater equality in art and design. He often said, ‘Everything I do is for the 17-year-old version of myself,’ believing deeply in the power of art to inspire future generations.“We thank you all for your love and support, and we ask for privacy as we grieve and celebrate Virgil’s life.”

Born in Rockford, Illinois in the US in 1980, Abloh found his way into fashion after studying engineering and architecture. His favourite brands growing up, Alien Workshop, Santa Cruz and Nike, signalled the streetwear style he would eventually bring to the peak of Paris high fashion.

Abloh came into the orbit of rapper Kanye West through his T-shirt designs for the Chicago store Custom Kings. The pair worked together as interns at Fendi in 2009, and Abloh eventually became the creative director at Donda, West’s creative agency.

After a false start with the art project/fashion label Pyrex Vision, upcycling deadstock from Ralph Lauren, Abloh launched his label Off-White in 2013, which quickly found fans in Beyoncé and Nicki Minaj.

In 2018 Abloh was appointed artistic director of Louis Vuitton menswear, following the departure of Kim Jones to work at Dior Homme. The appointment was a welcome move towards greater diversity in the line-up of designers within the luxury stable of parent company LVMH.

One of the few people not surprised by Abloh’s appointment was the founder of French label A.P.C, Jean Touitou. “I was not surprised at all that he got this job. Virgil is a new version of Karl Lagerfeld: a very talented and strategic director, as well as a very, very good master of propaganda,” he told US GQ.

“It is an honour for me to accept this position. I find the heritage and creative integrity of the house are key inspirations and will look to reference them both while drawing parallels to modern times,” Abloh said in a statement following his appointment.

Abloh’s debut show for Louis Vuitton in Paris, June 2018, was a tonal tribute to The Wizard of Oz, earning a standing ovation from front-row guests Kanye West, Kim Kardashian, Rihanna, Bella Hadid, Naomi Campbell, and Rita Ora.

A champion of diversity, lauded for relaxing the strictures of luxury fashion and helping further bridge the gap between streetwear and the red carpet, Abloh was recently promoted by LVMH in July to a role launching new products across the conglomerate, making him the most powerful black man in fashion. LVMH also acquired a majority share in Off-White.

“We are all shocked after this terrible news. Virgil was not only a genius designer, a visionary, he was also a man with a beautiful soul and great wisdom,” Bernard Arnault, chairman and chief executive of LVMH said in a statement.
