Nadia Bartel has revealed she won’t be changing her last name anytime soon for the sake of her two boys, which she shares with now ex-husband Jimmy Bartel.
The AFL power couple went through a very public split in August last year, with Jimmy going public with girlfriend Lauren Mand shortly after news of his break up with Nadia was announced.
Nadia told the Herald Sun that despite her marriage to the Geelong Cats player ending, she had no plans to revert back to her maiden name of Coppolino.
“Right now, I want to have the same name as the boys. I can’t imagine having another surname,” she said.

“If I didn’t have children it would be a different story. I don’t know what I might do in the future.”
Nadia and Jimmy married in 2014 after six years of dating and share sons Aston, 4, and Henley, 2.
The 35-year-old said she was “heartbroken” when her marriage to Jimmy broke down last year, amid rumours about what caused their split.
“Although I’m heartbroken, I don’t want to comment specifically on what’s been reported about Jim’s trip to the UK as I don’t think that is in anyone’s interests,” Nadia told News Corp Australia in August last year.

“My single focus now is to continue to protect, care and provide for my two beautiful boys as this is a personal matter.”
Nadia isn’t the only high profile female celebrity to keep their husband’s name for the sake of their children.
When actress Jodi Gordon split from her NRL star husband Braith Anasta in 2015 she said she had no plans to give up his last name for the sake of their daughter Aleeia.
“I want the same last name as my daughter. I have no problem. I am an Anasta. It’s a done deal,” she told The Sunday Telegraph in 2016.
However, in the years since their divorce and Braith moving on with fiancee Rachael Lee, Jodi has changed her surname back to Gordon.
Nadia previously opened up on the personal toll the divorce had on her, telling Stellar it was “never what I thought would happen”.
Last week she celebrated the Melbourne Cup carnival with a variety off different race day outfits – including a plunging purple dress and a rainbow ensemble with a daring thigh-high split.
The former WAG and Melbourne Cup ambassador also rocked a metallic blue dress on Melbourne Cup day as well as a stunning white ensemble for Kennedy Oaks Day.
