The 10th annual Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts Awards, known as the AACTA Awards, got underway today with not one but two reduced-capacity COVID-friendly sessions.
The film section kicked off at The Star Sydney, with actors walking the red carpet before being seated inside at socially distanced tables.
The TV awards will be handed out at a second event this evening.
The outfits were fairly subdued this year, with many opting for simple lines and colours. Black was the stand-out choice of hue for men and women, with simple accessories dominating.
Bella Heathcote is a first-time Best Supporting Actress nominee for her role in Relic.
Rob Collins is also nominated for Best Supporting Actor for his role in Mystery Road.
Eliza Scanlen (left) is up for Best Lead Actress for her role in Babyteeth, taking on Laura Gordon (centre) for Undertow.
