Lil Wayne has cryptically addressed his recent split from model Denise Bidot, who reportedly left the rapper due to his support for US President Donald Trump.
The 38-year-old took to Twitter to wax poetic over the break-up, implying that Bidot simply couldn’t handle the heat of being with someone like him.
“I live the way I love and love the way I live,” he wrote. “I’m a lover not a lighter bekuz they burn out. I am an eternal fire and burning love, either leave with a tan, a 3rd degree burn, or stay and die in love.”
“You’re sweating. Sincerely, the fireman.”

Bidot confirmed their split Tuesday on Instagram, where she posted, “Sometimes love just isn’t enough,” alongside a broken heart emoji.
Website Love B. Scott was the first to report that the relationship ended due to Lil Wayne’s support for Trump, with his recent photo opportunity with the President being the last straw.
The rapper, born Dwayne Michael Carter Jr, posted a photo of himself and Mr Trump smiling and giving the thumbs up in front of three American flags during their meeting in Miami.
Lil Wayne had showered Mr Trump with praise after their meeting, telling fans, “He listened to what we had to say today and assured he will and can get it done.”

“She broke up with Wayne,” a source told the site. “It wasn’t just his Trump support, but that was a big part.”
Bidot, 34, hinted at her unease with Wayne’s photo on Monday in an Instagram post in which she encouraged her followers to vote, but was sure to clarify that she wouldn’t be voting for Mr Trump. The model has since deleted her Instagram posts.
Bidot and Lil Wayne have also unfollowed each other on social media.
