SAS Australia: Firass Dirani’s mum blasts instructors - NEWS.com.au

Firass Dirani’s mum had a hilarious crack at the SAS Australia instructors after they punished her son in the latest episode of the Channel 7 show.

Viewers last night saw the recruits tackle a Pack March – an ultimate test of endurance while carrying weighted Bergens (backpacks).

Firass once again defied the orders of the instructors by not making his backpack heavy enough, so he was punished by having to carry an extra rock which took the weight on his back to more than 25kg.

After the episode aired, Firass posted a video on his mum on his Instagram story and she had a message for one of the show’s instructors, Jason ‘Foxy’ Fox.

“Why you do that to my son?” she said. “Why you give him more weight? Why? Huh? Why?”

Am amused Firass said to the camera: “She’s after you, my friend.”

His mum shook her head in disgust and said: “My god. Do you know god? You don’t know god. Terrible.”

Firass has been a divisive personality on SAS Australia. While he’s proven to be great for entertainment value, his co-stars have grown tired of his repeated misbehaviour which has often resulted in them being punished by the instructors.

In last night’s episode, the celebrity recruits approached chief instructor Ant Middleton and asked for Firass to be removed from the show.

When that request was denied, the celebrities staged an intervention with Firass and asked him to quit the show.

He refused.

FIRASS RESPONDS TO SABRINA’S CRYING CLAIM

Speaking to news.com.au last week, SAS Australia fan favourite Sabrina Frederick revealed that Firass made her cry.

“Personally, he would just say one line comments to me every day,” she said. “I’m an emotional person. Don’t get me wrong, I look like a hard a**e on the show but I’m a very emotional person and a caring person and for me, I couldn’t understand why he was saying the things that he was saying to me.”

Eventually, Dirani’s comments became too much and Frederick burst into tears.

“Just on that one day he got me and I just lost it,” she told news.com.au. “It’s an interesting relationship between me and him – we just didn’t get on.

“It took a while for him to apologise and I don’t know if he apologised to me because he meant it or because someone told him to, I don’t know,” she told news.com.au. “But by the time he did apologise, for me personally, it didn’t mean anything. I even said, ‘I appreciate your apology but just so you know, I don’t believe you.’”

Speaking to Nova’s Fitzy and Wippa this morning, Firass described the incident as “nothing”.

“I’ll tell you the truth,” he said. “After the mission where she leaves Merrick (Watts) and James (Magnussen) … James was like, ‘It felt weird. It felt like she knew the pliers were there.’ I said, ‘Do you think she’s a mole or something?’ And then I said to Sabrina, as a joke, I looked at her and I did the De Niro thing and I said, ‘I’m watching you, I’m watching you.’

“That was it,” Firass said. “That’s all I did. She got upset with that.”

SAS Australia continues on Monday night at 7.30pm on Channel 7
