Dannii Minogue has made a surprise admission about her sexuality as she prepares to host the new UK dating show for women, I Kissed A Girl.
After hosting the award-winning BBC series I Kissed A Boy last year, which was the first ever British dating show to feature gay men exclusively, the Aussie singer and actress will now front the female version – and it’s about time, she says.
“This is so important. There hasn’t been a show for the girls in the reality gay dating world,” Minogue said in a promo, as per the Mirror.
“It’s like we need this to happen. I’m hoping that there are parties up and down the country.”
In a teaser for the first episode, Minogue addresses her sexuality after the girls made it clear they fancy the Australian star and wasted no time asking her is she fancies women.
One contestant named Amy, from Surrey, even straight up admitted that Minogue was “just their type”.
“I identify as queer in a weird way,” Minogue said. “You girls are hot. You know it. I love it. I’m here for it. Is that an answer?”
The Aussie star has been dating her longtime boyfriend, music producer Adrian Newman, since at least 2014. She previously dated Aussie-based English model Kris Smith, who is the father of her son Ethan, 13.
The series sees 10 single women aged between 22 and 28 enter a luxury Italian where they will share a kiss with another contestant by the pool straight away, without even speaking one word to each other.

If sparks fly, they can explore a relationship together. If not, they can look for romance with the other ladies in the house.
“I hope there are more series of this show, and more girls get the opportunity to have this experience,” she said on the show on the first episode, which airs in the UK from May 5.
“You girls are so brave and amazing and have brought so much to it. I could never do what you have done. I will always be in awe of what has happened and what we’ve created. I feel so proud. You’re stepping forward, and you’re the first crew of girls representing in this space, and it is big.”
