A Home & Away actor has his sights set on becoming the next big Aussie breakout after appearing in a massive Hollywood blockbuster.
Stars from Chris Hemsworth to Isla Fisher have become global stars after landing major film roles in recent years, and now Tim Franklin could be next.
The Home & Away star is known to many for playing Colby Thorne on the soap between 2018 and 2021.
Now he’s moved onto bigger things, and fans recently spotted Franklin in blockbuster The Fall Guy.
A fan wrote on Twitter: “Squealed in the middle of the cinema when I saw Tim Franklin in the new movie The Fall Guy alongside Emily Blunt and Ryan Gosling.”
Another replied: “I had to look twice but it’s definitely him and I’m so proud of him.”
Franklin himself shared the exciting news on his own social media, telling fans: “So proud to be a part of this epic film. What an action packed meta masterpiece.”
It comes after Franklin and his partner welcomed a baby girl into the world last year.
Franklin shared the exciting news on Instagram in May last year, revealing that his daughter, whom they had named Billie van Franklin, had been born two months prior.
The former soap star posted a series of pictures of Billie and shared them alongside a heartfelt caption where he shared how he had been handling fatherhood.
“She’s taken a wrecking ball to my concept of love. Amongst the wreckage whipped out a foldable chair, sat down, and poured herself a drink. I’m happy and weak, unapologetically vulnerable. I’m crying a lot,” Franklin began the caption.
