An iconic Neighbours character is being killed off, it’s been confirmed.
Classic character Rosemary Daniels is being officially killed off following the death of actor Joy Chambers at the age of 76.
Chambers, who made her debut as Rosemary on the Australian soap in 1986 and her final appearance in 2010, passed away back in September, with her family confirming the news in a statement.
“Joy will be remembered as a Logie award-winning actress, a best-selling author, a poet, a philanthropist and an exceptional businesswoman who worked alongside her husband to build one of the largest independent production companies in the world,” a statement said at the time.
Rosemary’s off-screen death will be referenced in next week’s scenes after her nephew Paul is made aware of her passing and subsequently makes plans to visit his family in New York.
The developments come amid a dramatic storyline involving Chelsea Murphy after the schemer made a swift departure after Krista exposed her awful actions. Krista has her own issues with ex-boyfriend Leo, but he shows he still cares for her as he scares drug dealer Shannon away.
Meanwhile, fans recently shared their disgust over a storyline that recently hit the soap.
A storyline currently playing out on the show concerns longtime Ramsay Street resident Karl Kennedy (Alan Fletcher) encountering a persistent problem while practising his new-found love of cycling. As depicted rather graphically on screen, Karl appears to have trouble controlling his bowels while out cycling and has to repeatedly relieve himself … all over Erinsborough.

In a storyline that appears to be inspired by the real-life “poo jogger” case that gripped Australia in 2018, Karl’s cycling emissions cause a stir throughout the neighbourhood, with angry residents demanding to find out who’s behind their brown lawn presents.
The show’s diehard fans voiced their disgust as the official Neighbours account tweeted a clip of Karl preparing another drop-off.
“This is one of the very worst storylines Neighbours has ever run. Just disgusting,” one hardcore fan responded. “This was funny the first time, but just gross now,” another complained.
