Popular music festival Groovin the Moo has cancelled its shows around the country for 2024 just two months before it was set to kick off.
Organisers announced today that festivals across regional cities would not go ahead in late April due to poor ticket sales.
"We are extremely disappointed to announce that the Groovin the Moo 2024 tour has been forced to cancel," they said in a statement.
"Ticket sales have not been sufficient to deliver a regional festival of this kind.
"Thank you to everybody who has supported the festival. We hope to be able to bring Groovin the Moo back to regional communities in the future."
All patrons who purchased tickets would be automatically refunded, organisers said.
Groovin the Moo is held annually in Newcastle, Canberra, Wayville, Bendigo, the Sunshine Coast and Bunbury.
The festival unveiled this year's lineup only weeks ago, which tapped international acts like the Kooks, GZA from Wu-Tang Clan and Mura Masa.
The first show of the tour was set to start in Wayville in South Australia on April 25.
Launched in 2005, Groovin the Moo has hosted major international acts like Gang of Youths, Denzel Curry, Billie Eilish, The Wombats and Charli XCX.
In its 19 years of operation, the festival has cancelled events twice, once in 2020 and again in 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdowns.
