William, Kate share sweet clip of Charlotte excited on coronation morning - Sky News Australia

Princess Charlotte is gasping with excitement in a behind-the-scenes video of the coronation posted by Prince William and Princess Kate.

The eight-year-old was filmed on the morning of King Charles and Queen Camilla’s historic crowning, clearly elated as she stepped outside of Kensington Palace.

The clip shows the young princess all dressed up for the occasion, pointing excitedly at the royal chauffeurs who had arrived to escort the family to their horse-drawn carriage.

The one-minute video also shows adorable Prince Louis -who entertained royal fans by fidgeting and letting out a big yawn during the ceremony – pointing with anticipation at the taxis as he exited the palace.

The two siblings are also filmed on the procession to Westminster Abbey, seated in the royal carriage with their 9-year-old brother Prince George and the Prince and Princess of Wales as fans wave adoringly at them.

Charlotte looked angelic at the coronation and in the clip, wearing a Alexander McQueen ivory silk crepe dress and cape, with a headpiece featuring an ornate silver bullion crystal and silver thread work.

Prince Louis wore a navy Hainsworth Garter Blue Doeskin Tunic, paired with black pants with Garter Blue Stripe.

It was not the five-year-old’s first time riding in a carriage during a royal procession, with the youngster having waved to crowds during the Trooping of the Colour at the Queen's Platinum Jubilee last June.

However, it is his first time riding in a carriage alongside Prince William, who usually participates  on horseback.

Cameras have captured an emotional King Charles sharing a touching moment with the Prince of Wales during his historic coronation.

Halfway through the ceremony William, who is the next in line to the throne, kneeled before his father and vowed to honour the King.

Charles heart-warmingly broke tradition and whispered “thank you, William” in response, and the pair shared a tender kiss on the cheek.

William was the only member of the royal family to be given a speaking role in the ceremony at Westminster Abbey, delivering the Homage of Royal Blood.
