Taylor Swift is “madly in love” with a new British beau after splitting with actor and long-term partner Joe Alwyn.
The 33-year-old pop sensation is reportedly ready to tell the world about her relationship with 1975 frontman Matty Healy when he flies in to support her at her Nashville concert on Friday, a source told The Sun.
The new lovebirds initially fell head over heels for each other and dated about a decade ago but according to the source, the timing wasn’t right for either musician.
“She and Matty are madly in love,” the source said. “It’s super-early days but it feels right.
“They first dated, very briefly, almost 10 years ago but timings just didn’t work out.”
A photo from 2015 showed the pair partying in London with fellow artist Ellie Goulding and English TV presenter Nick Grimshaw.
New of the romance comes after Swift officially split from Alwyn in February. They dated for six years.
Swift’s new lover has reportedly being video-calling the singer every minute he can get while the star is in the middle of the US leg of her The Eras Tour.
Healy is with his band on their At Their Very Best tour but will fly to Nashville to support Swift.
“As two international megastars, they understand the pressures of one another’s jobs better than anyone and are incredibly supportive of their respective careers,” the source said.
“They are both massively proud and excited about this relationship and, unlike Taylor’s last one — which was very much kept out of the spotlight, deliberately — she wants to ‘own’ this romance and not hide it away.
“Taylor just wants to live her life and be happy. She’s told pals Matty is flying to Nashville over the weekend to support her on the next leg of her tour.”
It seems Swift has a sweet spot for famous Brits, having called off past relationships with Harry Styles, Calvin Harris and Tom Hiddleston.
Swift and Styles dated in late 2012 for a couple months before ending things in early 2013.
She broke up with DJ and record producer Calvin Harris in 2016 after dating for 15 months before having a whirlwind three-month relationship with actor Hiddleston.
In January, Swift got cosy backstage with Healy’s mother Denise Welch at 1975’s performance at London’s 02 Arena.
The Loose Women star shared a photo with Swift on social media after the singer made a surprise appearance on stage during the gig.
“Oh what a night at a sold out 02. So proud I can’t even begin,” Welch posted.
