Rich Listers Kayla Itsines and Tobi Pearce split - The Australian Financial Review

Documents lodged with the corporate regulator in 2019 record the couple each selling the one share they held in Sweat under their own names to an entity called The K&T Investments Company.

Strong friendship

In a post to her 12.6 million Instagram followers, Ms Istines said after eight years together she and Mr Pearce had come to the difficult decision to separate as a couple.

"Our friendship remains strong as we parent Arna together and run SWEAT as business partners," Ms Itsines said.

She had recently spoken to Vogue about adapting Sweat for the COVID-19 pandemic.

"We tried really hard to pivot quickly towards offering more at-home workout options for women who couldn’t leave their houses, but wanted to keep fit despite the lockdown," Ms Itsines said.

"This time has really highlighted the positive role digital fitness options like Sweat can provide during times of uncertainty, and has also been a big learning for us in how we can adapt quickly to further support women when the need arises.”

Mr Pearce and Ms Istines became heavy hitters in the global fitness industry with the release of Itsines’ workout e-book, the Bikini Body Guide, in 2014. That book was so successful it was downloaded illegally more than 1 million times and became the genesis for a fitness app, Sweat, that has become one of Apple’s biggest grossing health apps.
