Adele loses it: ‘Are you f**king stupid?’ - news.com.au

Singer Adele blasted an apparent homophobic heckler during a recent Las Vegas show, the star caught on video asking: “Are you f**king stupid?”

The Rolling in the Deep singer was performing the latest show in her ongoing Weekends With Adele Vegas residency, when she wished those in attendance a happy Pride month.

Adele’s latest shows fell at the start of Pride, which is celebrated each June.

But one heckler apparently wasn’t too happy with that shout-out, and yelled “f**k Pride!” from the audience.

Adele soon gave the unknown heckler a piece of her mind.

“Did you come to my f**king show and say that Pride sucks?” she asked, to a massive cheer from the audience.

“Are you f**king stupid? Don’t be so f**king ridiculous. If you have nothing nice to say, shut up. All right?”

Adele has been performing her Vegas residency since November 2022, with the 100-show engagement set to finish in November this year.

The always-outspoken singer has made headlines more than a few times with her onstage antics: During an October 2023 show, she told the audience she’d recently quit drinking for good.

“I stopped drinking … maybe, like, three and a half months ago,” she revealed.

“It’s boring. I mean, oh my God, it’s boring. I was literally borderline alcoholic for quite a lot of my 20s, but I miss it so much. I cut out caffeine [too]. So, enjoy your whiskey sour. I’m very, very jealous,” she told an audience member.

In August last year, she called out her own concert’s security personnel for “bothering” a fan who was dancing to the show.

“Why are you all bothering him? Can you leave him alone, please?” Adele asked her security team in footage that circulated on social media.

“They won’t bother you anymore, darling. You enjoy the show. Leave him alone.”

While it’s been a massive success, Adele’s residency got off to a dramatic start when she pulled the pin on its scheduled start date in January 2022 – just hours before the first show was due to begin.

The star posted an emotional video message to fans on social media, telling them the show simply “wasn’t ready.”

“We’ve been absolutely destroyed by delivery delays and Covid,” she explained at the time.

“We’ve been awake for over 30 hours now trying to figure it out and we’ve run out of time. I’m so upset and I’m really embarrassed and I’m so sorry to everyone that’s travelled.”

It would be another 11 months until the show eventually opened at Las Vegas’ Caesars Palace.
