Zara’s sweet words to William revealed - news.com.au

Prince William enjoyed time with family at Royal Ascot in England on Wednesday.

The Prince of Wales, 41, had sweet interactions with several of his relatives at the five-day horse racing event, including his cousin, Zara Tindall.

Tindall, 43, whispered something to William, whose wife Kate Middleton is battling cancer, and the conversation was decoded by a lip reader.

They told the Daily Mail that Tindall said to her cousin, “Hi, lovely to see you, are you OK?”

The future king allegedly responded, “Yes, of course I am. It’s wonderful.”

William, Zara and their cousins Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice were also at Royal Ascot, reports the New York Post.

Tindall is the only daughter of Princess Anne, who is King Charles III’s sister, and Mark Phillips.

She’s always been close with William, as they are born just 13 months apart.

Earlier this month, royal expert Jennie Bond claimed that William is leaning on Tindall’s brother, Peter Phillips, and her husband, Mike Tindall, for support amid Kate’s health woes.

“I can imagine the three of them having a lot of fun together. This is William’s inner circle,” Bond told OK! magazine. “People he can trust absolutely and who are showing that they are there for him when the going gets tough.”

Bond added: “I’m really glad that William has a cousin who is almost like a brother to him in Peter Phillips.”

Bond also noted that Prince Harry, who is estranged from the royal family, “is not, and will not, be here to help or provide a shoulder to cry on” for William.

Kate, 42, was not at Royal Ascot on Wednesday.

But her parents, Michael and Carole Middleton, were there, and they spent time with William.

According to People, William helped his 69-year-old mother-in-law when her heel got stuck in the grass. He held her hand as she put her shoe back on, and they laughed about the snafu.

William similarly helped his wife when she got stuck in a gate at the Irish Guards’ St. Patrick’s Day parade in 2013.

Since Kate was diagnosed with cancer earlier this year, William has stepped up in his royal duties and has been out and about mostly without the Princess of Wales. He attended ceremonies for the anniversary of D-Day in France earlier this month with Charles, 75, and Queen Camilla.

Last week, Kate made her first public appearance in six months at the Trooping the Colour ceremony. She and William stood on the balcony at Buckingham Palace with their three children and the rest of the royal family.
