Sad sign in brotherly relationship as Prince William snubs Prince Harry’s request to meet during London visit - Sky News Australia

Prince Harry’s attempt to extend an olive branch to brother Prince William has reportedly been rejected ahead of his impending visit to the UK.

Harry will return to London next week where he will attend the 10th anniversary ceremony service of the Invictus Games at St Paul’s Cathedral on Wednesday.

The ceremony will mark a decade since the Duke of Sussex established the Invictus Games – a multi-sport event designed for wounded, injured and sick servicemen and women, both serving and veterans.

Multiple sources told Page Six that Harry had invited the royal family to the celebration ceremony in London, however, no senior members are expected to attend.

The 39-year-old had hoped to arrange a private reunion with William however the Duke of Cambridge snubbed his brother, according to the Mirror.

“Their relationship remains extremely fractured. Harry has privately expressed a wish to sit down with his brother but now is not the time”, a source said.

The Duke of Sussex is set to arrive in London on Tuesday and will spend three days back home before flying back out to Los Angeles.

While he does not appear to be mending the relationship with his estranged brother any time soon, he is set to meet up with his father King Charles.

Reports Prince William and Kate ‘want a truce’ with Prince Harry

The pair have kept in contact following the monarch’s shock cancer announcement in February and Charles will make time in his busy schedule to reunite with his youngest son.

“Harry has kept in regular contact with his father on several occasions and made no secret of his desire to see him when he can,” the source said.

“He has been especially concerned about him and hopes the King will be well and able to see him as planned.”

William and Harry have been estranged since Harry’s departure from the royal family in 2020 when he moved to the US with wife Meghan Markle.

Reports Prince Harry, Meghan and children could be invited to Balmoral

Their relationship grew further strained last year when Harry’s memoir Spare was released and included some bombshell details about his brother.

It is unclear yet as to whether Meghan will join her husband in London with a royal expert claiming she fears being booed by the British public again, after she was jeered during the late Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

“She does not want to return to Britain in a hurry. There are many people here who won't be sad about that,” the Daily Mail’s Richard Eden told Palace Confidential.

“Meghan will be wary of getting booed at St. Pauls.”
