‘Reconnect’: Harry’s wish rebuffed - news.com.au

Prince Harry would “love” to reconnect with Kate Middleton following the news that she’s battling cancer.

Kate shocked the world when she revealed earlier this year that she would be taking time off from royal duties while she fights the disease.

According to Christopher Anderson, author of The King, Harry has been hoping that news of Kate and his father, King Charles’ health struggles could help reunite the family.

“Harry would love to reconnect with Kate [Middleton],” Christopher Andersen, author of “The King,” claimed to Fox News Digital.

“They were once extremely close, and Harry was hit hard by the news of her cancer diagnosis, which he learned about just the way the rest of us did, via Kate’s shocking video,” Andersen claimed.

However, it appears Harry’s feud with Prince William is still the biggest roadblock in any kind of reconciliation happening.

“Unfortunately, it doesn’t appear [Prince] William is willing to let his brother anywhere near his ailing wife.

“There was just too much drama between the brothers and their wives, and there is lingering bitterness on everyone’s part,” Andersen continued. “So, the chances of even a meeting between Harry and the rest of the royal family, much less some sort of reconciliation, seem extremely slim.”

Meanwhile, it comes after Prince Harry confirmed he won’t see his father King Charles during his visit to the UK this week due to the monarch’s “full programme”.

Harry landed in the UK on Tuesday (local time) for a series of events linked to the Invictus Games.

He is expected to stay for three days before flying to Nigeria where he will be met by his wife Meghan.

A spokesman for Harry has responded to “speculation on whether or not the duke will meet with his father while in the UK this week”.

They said: “It unfortunately will not be possible due to His Majesty’s full programme.

“The Duke of course is understanding of his father’s diary of commitments and various other priorities and hopes to see him soon.”
