Pregnant Farmer Wants A Wife contestant Hayley Love has quietly released a new public statement overnight, thanking those who are following her story for their support and revealing she had been “absolutely terrified” to come forward with her story.
Hayley, 25, appeared on the latest season of FWAW as one of the contestants paired with farmer Matt Trewin. After filming, she secretly struck up a relationship with another of the show’s farmers, Will Dwyer, and alleges she is now pregnant with his child. Their relationship has now ended, but as Hayley revealed in a bombshell public statement to news.com.au yesterday, she has “decided to keep the baby, because I have enough love for this child with or without a biological father. I will be enough for him or her.”
Coming after weeks of rumours and blind items about a “Farmer Wants A Wife pregnancy scandal”, the story hit FWAW fans like a bomb yesterday. Now 22 weeks pregnant, Hayley had deactivated her social media accounts to focus on her own health during this time. But last night, she briefly resurfaced on Instagram to acknowledge the reaction to her story – and to share a sweet ultrasound of her unborn child.

Hayley wrote that she was “in shock with the amount of support” she had received since her story was made public.
“I was absolutely terrified to come out with a statement as I am struggling with my mental health,” she wrote, thanking her close friends and family for their support during this time.
“While the rumours were spreading I became a complete wreck. I removed myself from social media to recover from all the awful comments I was reading about myself and even other girls/farmers.”
“I am going to let the dust settle over the next few days but just wanted to jump on quickly to say a massive thank you. My heart is so full and I know bubs is going to have so much love.”

Meanwhile farmer Will, who declined to comment when contacted by news.com.au for yesterday’s story, issued a message of his own on Instagram overnight - a graphic reading “A WOLF DOES NOT CONCERN HIMSELF WITH THE OPINIONS OF SHEEP.”
In her statement yesterday, Hayley explained why she had felt compelled to come forward, after much speculation about a pregnancy among this year’s crop of Farmer Wants A Wife contestants.
“I am speaking my truth before it gets misconstrued by the public and tabloids who don’t know the full story,” she wrote.
“This is my story to tell.”
Hayley says she and 39-year-old sheep and cattle farmer Will struck up a relationship shortly after the show’s finale was filmed in December, but before the reunion – which will air on Seven on August 11 – was filmed in January. It is understood the pair ended their romance in April after Hayley told Will she was pregnant.
It comes after Farmer Will chose fellow contestant Jaimee as his final pick in the season finale, which aired last week. News.com.au understands the pair will appear together during the August 11 reunion episode.
