Britney Spears says she will not be performing 'anytime soon' in damning statement slamming Jamie Lynn Spears - 9Honey Celebrity

If Britney Spears alluded to a rift between her and her younger sister Jamie Lynn Spears yesterday, her most recent statement all but confirms it with a bang.

Taking to Instagram this morning, the 'Toxic' hitmaker, 39, posted a damning statement calling out her 30-year-old sister and saying her restrictive 13-year conservatorship "killed [her] dreams" alongside an image that says, "Take me as I am or kiss my a-- eat s--t and step on Legos."

The message initially addresses the pop icon's haters in general, before becoming more specific.

"For those of you who choose to criticise my dancing videos ... look I'm not gonna be performing on any stages anytime soon with my dad handling what I wear, say, do, or think 🚫🙅🏼‍♀️ 🚫!!!!" the statement begins.

"I've done that for the past 13 years ... I'd much rather share videos YES from my living room instead of onstage in Vegas where some people were so far gone they couldn't even shake my hand and I ended up getting a contact high from weed all the time ... which I didn't mind but it would have been nice to be able to go to the mother f---ing spa 💆🏼‍♀️🤭🧖🏼‍♀️ !!!!"

Britney then says that she was not allowed to put her latest hits in her more recent shows before taking aim at Jamie Lynn for performing a cover of her song 'Till the World Ends' at the Radio Disney Music Awards in 2017.

"And no I'm not gonna put on heavy makeup and try try try on stage again and not be able to do the real deal with remixes of my songs for years and begging to put my new music in my show for MY fans ... so I quit !!!!

"This conservatorship killed my dreams ... so all I have is hope and hope is the only thing in this world that is very hard to kill ... yet people still try !!!!"

Britney also says she was not impressed with the documentaries on her life, such as the recent The New York Times Presents: Framing Britney Spears documentary, an opinion that she has previously vocalised.

"I didn't like the way the documentaries bring up humiliating moments from the past ... I'm way past all that and have been for a long time !!!! And for women who say it's weird the way I still have hope for fairy tales ... go f--- yourself 🖕🏼 !!!!! As I said ... hope is all I have right now ... you're lucky I post anything at all ... if you don't like what you see, unfollow me !!!

"People try to kill hope because hope is one of the most vulnerable and fragile things there is !!!! I'm gonna go read a mother f---ing fairy tale now !!!! Psss if you don't want to see my precious a-- dancing in my living room or it's not up to your standards ... go read a f---ing book 📕 !!!!!" the statement concludes.

It has been speculated by Free Britney supporters for a while that Britney and Jamie Lynn's relationship is fractured, but the speculation amped up exponentially in the aftermath of Britney's bombshell 24-minute testimony.

Although it was revealed recently that Jamie Lynn is reportedly the only Spears family member not on Britney's payroll, it was also reported by The Blast in August 2020 that Jamie Lynn was named as a trustee of Britney's estate in 2018 — implying some financial benefit from Britney's restrictions.

In November 2020, it then emerged that although Jamie Lynn had been asked by Britney to be her estate's trustee, she had withdrawn her petition to serve as trustee of the estate.

Last week, Britney sent her younger sibling a care package filled with toys for Jamie Lynn's daughter, Maddie, 13, and Ivey, three.

Yesterday, Britney hit out at her loved ones in a vague Instagram post, slamming them for publicly her supporting to save face but privately "never" showing up. Many fans thought this was about Jamie Lynn.
