Britney Spears' former best friend Sean Phillip has accused her father Jamie Spears of having "no compassion" and enabling Britney's drug addiction, among other claims.
Speaking exclusively with The Sun, Phillip, who met the now 39-year-old pop icon in 2003, said that Jamie, 69, spent years "milking the Britney cash cow."
"Jamie only wanted to be Britney's father when she turned 26 and was a multi-millionaire," Phillip, who was Britney's assistant and lived with her for a time, told the publication.
Phillip said that Jamie "didn't seem to care" about Britney's wellbeing when she started having problems, and that Jamie had "every opportunity to stop what was happening to her" including her alleged addiction to prescription drugs.
"I believe 100 per cent he was an enabler," Phillip said of Jamie.
Although Phillip met Britney in 2003, he did not start working for her until 2006, when he started being her personal trainer.
He said that over time, his role quickly evolved into a "24-hour job," which gave him first-hand insight into the 'Womaniser' songstress' relationship with her "controlling" father.
Britney told the court on June 23 in a damning 24-minute testimony that she wants Jamie, who controls her estate under a restrictive conservatorship, prosecuted for his alleged "abuse."

"I'm here to press charges. I'm angry and I will go there. You're allowing my dad to ruin my life," Britney told Judge Brenda Penny.
Although the contested conservatorship has been implemented since 2008, Phillip alleges that Britney's finances were being controlled prior to that.
At one point, she didn't have the access code for her own house, a phone or a credit card, with only the number of a black Amex card assigned to her manager's business for money, Philip claims.
Her former best friend also says management would often asked him to make sure she took two unknown pills every day.
Earlier this week, Britney was granted permission to hire her own lawyer in her ongoing bid to remove Jamie from her conservatorship and terminate it all together.

This morning, Britney said she will not be performing "anytime soon with [Jamie] handling what I wear, say, do, or think 🚫🙅🏼♀️ 🚫!!!!" and slammed her younger sister's performance of her songs in 2017.
Yesterday, she also penned a statement blasting loved ones that publicly supported her to save face but privately "never" showed up.
