Buckingham Palace has announced details of Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee next year.
News of the extended long-weekend celebrations from Thursday June 2 to Sunday June 5 in 2022 has been announced on the anniversary of the monarch's 1953 coronation.
Her Majesty will be the first sovereign to reach the 70-year milestone mark, making it a historic celebration.
"Throughout the year, Her Majesty and Members of the Royal Family will travel around the country to undertake a variety of engagements to mark this historic occasion culminating with the focal point of the Platinum Jubilee Weekend in June - one year from today," the statement read.
Trooping the Colour will take place on Thursday June 2, instead of it's usual Saturday date.

The annual military parade will return to it's former grandeur along The Mall outside Buckingham Palace, after two years of scaled back versions held at Windsor Castle due to the pandemic.
The same day, the Platinum Jubilee Beacons will be lit - both across the United Kingdom and in capital cities around the Commonwealth, meaning Australia gets involved in this long standing royal tradition.
On Friday June 3, a Service of Thanksgiving for the Queen's reign will be held at St Paul's Cathedral.
A double celebration is planned for Saturday June 4, with Her Majesty heading to the races in the morning, attending the Derby at Epsom Downs with members of the royal family followed by a Platinum Party at the Palace, which will be a televised concert to celebrate the then 96-year-old.
Members of the public will be invited to apply for the ballot to attend the event, which will also be broadcast on the BBC.
Then on Sunday June 5, communities are encourage to celebrate Her Majesty's reign with The Big Jubilee Lunch and come together in the "spirit of fun and friendship".
There will also be a Platinum Jubilee Pageant held at Buckingham Palace and in the surrounding streets, featuring 5,000 people from across the UK and the Commonwealth.
The pageant will combine street arts, theatre, music, circus, carnival and costume to celebrate Her Majesty's reign, as well as honouring the collective service of people and communities across the country.
A number of public events and community activities, as well as national moments of reflection are planned across the year to mark the Queen's 70 years of service.
The Queen ascended to the throne aged just 25, following the death of her beloved father King George VI on February 6, 1952.
