Two housemates are still locked away in Big Brother’s creepy mirrored dungeon while another passive aggressively throws cutlery around the kitchen in a bitter display of fury.
Elsewhere, the housemates are forced to reflect on their poor decisions of the past on national television as opposed to alone lying in a dark room on a Sunday morning after a night out.
But first, because watching strangers slowly unravel is the true essence of Big Brother and the only reason we’re still watching after what feels like 74 long years, we’re treated to scenes of Ari and Tilly’s sanity hanging by a thread as intruder Sal sits in the corner judging them.

Still reeling from the tense eviction ceremony that saw Ari ruthlessly booted to his current prison of reflection, in the main house, the other contestants are sitting around dissecting the night’s events.
All apart from Adriana, who’s bashing pots and pans as loud as she possibly can in the kitchen under the guise of “tidying up” to make it clear she’s pissed off and won’t be talking to anyone.
A classic mum move.
The next morning — after some wine-fuelled tears and hazardous sorting of cutlery — Adriana’s still furious, this time taking it out on the rubbish bin.
Hurling a full bag of garbage around and sighing loudly in the direction of anyone who crosses her path, she’s really laying it on thick today. It’s an impressive performance.
It’s the same energy as when you’re hungover at your parents’ place and suddenly the vacuum cleaner starts up at 7am for the most rigorous clean that house has ever seen.
(Side note: Is the freedom to finally get away with stuff like this the reason people are having kids? It does seem like a lot of fun).
Eventually, Danny and Adriana sit down for a heart-to-heart. They make up, and the cutlery drawer is safe from the wrath of an angry wine mum for another day.

Back in the mirror room, Ari’s paranoia has reached peak levels of unhinged while trying to establish a connection with the new intruder.
“Sooo are you going to talk to me or are you going to keep ignoring me?” he says.
“Stop looking at me!” he yells.
“You can’t just sit there and say nothing.”
Unperturbed, Sal silently stares back at him, her circular white eyes carrying a look of frustration mixed with pity.
Meanwhile, the other housemates are given a new challenge and Danny makes it clear he’s gunning for Sid.
It’s been many weeks of feeling second-hand cringe whenever Danny speaks, and still, him telling Big Brother that “Sid is going down to funky town” makes me want to cut off my ears. He’s nothing if not consistent.
The challenge is set, and they learn the reward isn’t the chance to nominate for eviction, but a cash prize of $10,000.
Big Brother tells them it’ll be the toughest challenge they’ve faced in the competition. It turns out to be a slight variation of every other challenge and thus, incredibly boring. I just received a package from Adore so I spend this time madly looking for the complimentary Tim Tam at the bottom of the box.
It’s pretty much the usual: Danny makes dying animal noises, Adriana whines that everything is too hard, Marley wins, and everybody cries.
Big Brother – who’s being weirdly nice to everyone this episode – then treats them to a pasta dinner and gives a mushy speech about how they’re all a “family”.
We flash back to the mirror room where Ari’s singing into a hairbrush and cradling Sal like a baby while Tilly dances around the room in pink pyjamas like a deranged ballerina.
“It’s Sal’s 21st!” Ari yells.
There’s never been a party I’ve wanted to be at more.
While Sal’s 21st rages on, the rest of a house is in a carb-induced coma, so when Big Brother plays a series of video messages from past contestants, feigning enthusiasm is a monumental effort.
Among a series of faces I swear I’ve never seen before in my life are a few familiar-looking people whose names escape me (and I do not care to find out), including both of Christina’s former boyfriends.
Eventually, Big Brother unveils the mirrored room to the shocked housemates (Sal’s 21st has wrapped up), where Ari and Tilly are told one of them will be re-entering the competition after a game of “Russian roulette”.
This interpretation involves jewellery boxes and the elusive red jewel that’s been sitting in the centre of the room.
Whoever opens the jewellery box with the red jewel inside must go home.
Tilly finds the jewel and is evicted, having to face the humiliating task of dismantling Sal and leaving the mansion in her pyjamas.
Meanwhile, Ari has to trudge back into the house to the people he refused to say goodbye to when he dramatically stormed out two days ago.
But at least they’re not in Christina’s position, who we hope has realised she made a huge mistake in ditching the guy with the brown mullet.
