Kate Middleton, 39, wore a red blazer to the match and was just as invested in the action as her boys.

The Cambridges’ other children - six-year-old Princess Charlotte and three-year-old Prince Louis - did not attend.

Prince George is third in the line of succession to the British throne, following his grandfather Prince Charles and his dad.

Harry and Will reunite

The football match comes two days before Prince William comes face-to-face with his once-close brother, Prince Harry, for the first time since their grandfather Prince Philip’s funeral in April.

The pair will attend a scaled-back ceremony at Kensington Palace to unveil a statute of their late mother Princess Diana on what would have been her 60th birthday.

“In addition to close family of Diana, Princess of Wales, members of the statue committee, the sculptor Ian Rank-Broadley, and garden designer, Pip Morrison, will also be present.”
