The band will play four stadium shows across the country
Foo Fighters will bring their mammoth show to stadiums across Australia this November and December, the band officially announced this morning.
The news comes just days after the band made a last-minute visit to Australia, where they played a massive sold out show at Geelong's Kardinia Park in the first big stadium rock show in this country since COVID-19 brought live music to its knees in 2020.
Fans across the country hungry for a dose of the band's stirring rock'n'roll can wipe away those jealous feelings, because Foo Fighters will be back before the year is through for a string of mammoth shows around the country.
Kicking off in Perth, the band will bring the noise to Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, playing big stadiums with a range of local guests in support.
We shouldn't be surprised that the band are so keen to get back to our shores. With almost two million album sales, eight number one records and tens of thousands flocking to every show, it stands to reason that they are wasting no time in returning.
Foo Fighters released their tenth studio record, Medicine At Midnight, last year.
If the setlist looks anything like Friday night's Geelong show, expect to hear just a dash of that newest record, with a broad range of the biggest hits from across their 25 year career.
The band played all their biggest anthems at the show, which was the first full-capacity stadium show in Australia since COVID restrictions took hold, ending on their iconic 1997 song 'Everlong', which they dedicated to Australian music industry titan Michael Gudinski, who died in March last year.
Joining Foo Fighters on this run of shows will be some of Australia's most exciting rock'n'roll bands of the moment, with The Chats, Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers, Teenage Joans and Hot Milk playing various shows.
