New celeb couple pregnant months after split - NEWS.com.au

Just four months after divorcing his “heartbroken” wife, comedian John Mulaney has confirmed his girlfriend Olivia Munn is pregnant.

John Mulaney and Olivia Munn are expecting a baby.

The stand-up comedian confirmed the actress’ pregnancy this week on Late Night With Seth Meyers while discussing his eventful year and their whirlwind relationship.

“I went to rehab in September [2020]. I got out in October. I move out of my home from my ex-wife [Anna Marie Tendler]. I host Saturday Night Live on Halloween. I relapse on drugs … then I continued using drugs,” Mulaney, 39, began.

“I went to rehab again, this time for two months. I got out in February. I lived in sober living for another month-and-a-half. … Then, in the spring, I went to Los Angeles and met and started to date a wonderful woman named Olivia.”

Finally, Mulaney announced, “And we’re having a baby together. I was nervous when I was about to say the news … I’m gonna be a dad!”

A source exclusively told Page Six the couple are delighted by the news, which comes less than four months after their romance was first revealed.

The baby will be the first child for both stars – who first met at Seth Meyers’ wedding in 2013.

Newsroom star Munn, 41, was spotted on Thursday in Los Angeles, wearing baggy trackpants and a sweatshirt as she walked through a car park, her baby bump clearly visible:

And in June, she was spotted in a similar outfit as she left Mulaney’s LA home.

Their relationship is said to be going strong after it was revealed in May that the Kid Gorgeous star was divorcing his wife of six years, Annamarie Tendler, following his 60-day stay in rehab for substance abuse.

“I am heartbroken that John has decided to end our marriage,” the artist, 36, said in a statement at the time. “I wish him support and success as he continues his recovery.”

Mulaney has been open about his battles with addiction, and while making his comeback at a string of gigs at NYC’s “City Winery” in May, he recalled how his celebrity pals – including Bill Hader, Natasha Lyonne, Seth Meyers, Fred Armisen and his comedy partner Nick Kroll – had organised an intervention and begged him to go to rehab.

He has continued to work on his sobriety since leaving rehab.

Following his first comeback gig, Rolling Stone critic David Fear tweeted: “So John Mulaney at City Winery was … intense … 90 minutes that was mostly processing his intervention and rehab experience.”

Fear also shared a joke from the set in which Mulaney said: “When I’m alone, I realise I’m with the person who tried to kill me.”

Munn has been romantically linked to Aaron Rodgers, Chris Pine, Justin Timberlake, Matthew Morrison and Joel Kinnaman in the past.
