Amanda Seyfried fans have been surprised to learn she and husband Thomas Sadoski have welcomed their second child, with the couple having kept the news well under wraps for nine months.
The Mamma Mia star, 34, gave birth to a boy after a secret pregnancy, announcing the happy arrival through the social media pages for two charities the couple supports.
Seyfried and Sadoski, 44, already have three-year-old daughter Nina. They have not yet revealed the name of their son.

The pair shared the news on Instagram this week via the International Network for Aid, Relief and Assistance and War Child USA.
Beneath a sweet photo of their tiny son, the statement on War Child USA’s page read: “We are so happy to join with INARA to be the first to announce that our ambassadors Amanda Seyfried and Thomas Sadoski welcomed their second child into this world.”

The couple added: “Since the birth of our daughter three years ago our commitment to the innocent children that are so brutally affected by conflict and war has been a driving force in our lives.
“With the birth of our son the work of INARA and War Child has become our North Star.”
Amanda and Thomas married in 2017, shortly before the actress gave birth to Nina.
Amanda opened up about life in quarantine in August during an interview with John Molner for his YouTube series Molner’s Table. During the chat, she managed to avoid dropping any hints of her pregnancy.
“My mum lives with us – she’s our nanny,” she said.
“My life is awesome because she is the third parent for us. I am so lucky – I know I am.
“When my daughter gets up, she either comes in our room or she goes downstairs. And if we’re still sleeping it’s great, ’cause she can hang out with my mum. She wakes up early.
“These days, it’s been me waking up and going downstairs and drinking coffee and hanging out with my daughter and then Tommy feeding (the animals). And you know what? Our family’s still together. I definitely think my marriage is even stronger. This (coronavirus pandemic) is hard for people.”
Last year, Amanda had said she was hoping to have her second child when Nina was at school, telling People: “I want to get pregnant again, but I’m not ready just yet to have a second. I would like my daughter to be in school and then have my own time with a new baby. But it’s so hard to plan.”
