Kyle Sandilands has slammed actress Zendaya over her defensive reaction to an interview with Sunrise presenter Edwina Bartholomew.
Last week, the Channel Seven newsreader, 40, asked the American actress, 27, who was the 'best kisser' between her Challengers co-stars Mike Faist and Josh O'Connor.
'It was a very normal question to ask who was the better kisser', the 52-year-old shock jock said during the Kyle and Jackie O Show on Tuesday of the now-viral video.
He continued: 'And they are making out it's some shocking question.'
Kyle's co-host Jackie 'O' Henderson, 49, agreed describing the social media re-action as 'odd'.
The pair then played a clip of Zendaya seemingly addressing the Sunrise interview in which she appeared to state that she was being singled out over being asked about love scenes with her fellow actors.
'I don't know if it's because they want it to be like a viral thing, I don't know. But I have noticed that, with me specifically,' she told Jake's Takes host Jake Hamilton.
'I feel like… if it was somebody else here, you probably wouldn’t be asked that question.'
‘That’s bulls***,' Kyle said in response to Zendaya's comments.
Telling listeners that 'kissing' questions are brought up all the time with actors, he complained that Zendaya 'should be able to handle it.'
'Say, "we're acting and they both acting kiss really well",' Kyle continued.
'Just answer the question that s just a big storm in a teacup over nothing, not everyone cares about the film work,' he said.
During her interview clip the Hollywood star noted that kissing scenes are a 'normal part' of her job as an actress.
'Yeah, it is odd,' she added, before acknowledging Jake for pointing out that 'nobody else gets asked' those types of questions.
'Thank you for bringing that up, because I thought the same thing. I'm like, "This is weird",' Zendaya added.
The viral Sunrise clip, shot during the media junket for the new film Challengers, began with Edwina asking the trio, 'But who is the best kisser?'
This was a reference to the steamy scene where they all make out with each other.
Zendaya, who is dating Spiderman star Tom Holland, grimaced at the question and said, 'Hm?' as though pretending not to have heard it.
To her relief, Mike, 32, jumped in to cover and said, 'Josh,' to pull the attention away from his discomforted colleague.
Fans from around the world flocked to X - formerly known as Twitter - following the awkward exchange and slammed the interview.
'No bc same Zendaya, same,' one user wrote as they shared a gif of the Golden Globe winner's grimace.
Others also referenced her reaction, with one person saying, 'She said "Hm?"' while another commented, 'Her face when she said it,' alongside laughing emojis.
'Embarrassing. Grade 3 question,' someone else tweeted, as one user asked why Edwina was 'tryna be messy'.
