A new photo of King Charles and Queen Camilla has been released by Buckingham Palace as the couple prepare to mark the first anniversary of their coronation.
The image was made public on Friday local time as it was also confirmed His Majesty would return to public-facing duties next week following his cancer diagnosis.
The couple were photographed inside Buckingham Palace Gardens on April 10, a day after they celebrated 19 years of marriage.
Portrait photographer Millie Pilkington captured the couple who were all smiles as they stood in the spring sunshine with their arms linked.
May 6 will mark one year since the coronation, which was held following the death of Queen Elizabeth II almost eight months earlier.
"As the first anniversary of The Coronation approaches, Their Majesties remain deeply grateful for the many kindnesses and good wishes they have received from around the world throughout the joys and challenges of the past year," Buckingham Palace said.
The King's first year on the throne has been rocked by his cancer diagnosis which was revealed on February 5 shortly after the 75-year-old underwent a prostate operation.
Buckingham Palace at the time said doctors had advised the King to postpone public-facing duties while he received "a schedule of regular treatments".
However, he continued "to undertake state business and official paperwork as usual" in the last three months despite stepping back from public engagements.
On Friday, it was revealed The King would next week visit a cancer treatment centre to meet with patients and medical specialists.
"His Majesty The King will shortly return to public-facing duties after a period of treatment and recuperation following his recent cancer diagnosis," the Palace said.
"To help mark this milestone, The King and Queen will make a joint visit to a cancer treatment centre next Tuesday, where they will meet medical specialists and patients.
"This visit will be the first in a number of external engagements His Majesty will undertake in the weeks ahead.
"In addition, The King and Queen will host Their Majesties The Emperor and Empress of Japan for a State Visit in June, at the request of HM Government."
United Kingdom Prime Minister Rishi Sunak shared the royal family's update on his social media accounts, writing: "Brilliant news to end the week".
News of the King's cancer diagnosis was followed just months later by the Princess of Wales confirming she had been diagnosed with cancer and was undergoing "preventative chemotherapy".
