Former Home and Away actor Orpheus Pledger arrested after three-day manhunt - 9News

Police have arrested former Home and Away actor Orpheus Pledger, after a three-day manhunt.

An arrest warrant was issued after Pledger allegedly left Royal Melbourne Hospital during a court-ordered medical assessment.

Pledger was taken to the hospital on Monday after he was granted bail in Melbourne Magistrates' Court, where he had faced charges for allegedly assaulting a woman.

Pledger is described as approximately 170cm tall with brown hair and tanned complexion. (Victoria Police)

The 30-year-old was ordered to return to court after the assessment but did not appear.

Police issued an appeal for the public assistance to help find Pledger, who was arrested on Thursday evening.

No other details have been provided by police following his arrest.

The actor has worked on a string of popular Australian television shows over more than two decades.

Pledger started his career as a child actor on The Secret Life of Us before he appeared on McLeod's Daughters, Blue Heelers, Neighbours and Home and Away.

He appeared on reality TV show SAS Australia in 2022 but voluntarily withdrew from the show after just two days.
