Made in Chelsea is getting an Australian spin-off - Digital Spy

Channel 4 is set to expand the Made in Chelsea franchise with a new Australian version called Made in Bondi.

The upcoming series will focus on a new cast of young social elites, this time in the Bondi suburb of Sydney, where "opulence knows no bounds and drama is always on the menu".

Fans will get to witness "jaw-dropping parties, breath taking fashion and sizzling romances" among the young socialites, much like in the UK version.

The series is set to air on Channel 7 Down Under, while UK viewers will be able to watch it on E4.

“I’m thrilled to see Made in growing into a global franchise," said Karl Warner, head of youth and digital at Channel 4.

Made in Chelsea has been the jewel in E4’s crown for over 10 years and has become one of the most important digital brands in the C4 portfolio, loved by our audiences across a range of platforms.

"We’re delighted to be partnering with Seven and working with new friends, Matchbox and old (but fabulous) friends, Monkey.”

Cast members from Made in Chelsea are also set to head to Australia for their own spin-off coming this December, called Made in Chelsea: Sydney, though whether there will be any sort of crossover remains unclear.

The main Made in Chelsea series most recently returned to screens for its Corsica summer spin-off, airing in August, which also introduced new cast members Jane Amber Aubrun-Mautin and Geronimo Mörtl. The main show is currently airing its 26th series on E4.

Made in Bondi will air on E4 in the UK and Channel 7 in Australia. Made in Chelsea airs on E4.
