Chet Hanks went on an anti-vaccine tirade, telling people to “get over” Covid-19 and to “stay inside” if they’re unhealthy.
The oft-troubled son of Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson — both of whom battled the virus last year — began his Instagram rant by being pro-vaccine, stating he was just now coming out in support of it because of the increase in cases.
“I’ve been kind of on the fence about this for a while. That’s why I never spoke on it, but with the amount of people I know recently who have gotten Covid and with like the numbers rising, I think it’s important for me to say I got the vaccine,” he began.
“I think everyone should. I think it’s really important that we all do this just as citizens — as Americans — we have to look after each other and get this s**t under control, guys.”

True to form, the White Boy Summer rapper immediately swerved into a different message.
“Psych, bitch! If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it,” he shouted. “I’ve never had COVID. They ain’t sticking me with that motherf**king needle. It’s the motherf**king flu. Get over it.”
Chet, 31, implored those who are unhealthy to “stay inside”.
“Why are we working around y’all? If you’re in danger, stay your ass inside,” he ended his tirade. “I’m tired of wearing the motherf**king mask.”
Tom, 65, and Wilson, 64, announced in March 2020 that they had tested positive for coronavirus. The following day, Chet said they were “not worried about it”.
At the time, Hanks and Wilson were in Australia as Hanks filmed scenes for Baz Luhrmann’s bopic about Elvis Presley.
The couple were admitted to the Gold Coast University hospital and were released a week later.

While the Oscar-winning Forrest Gump star ended up having a tough time with COVID-19, he later revealed Wilson’s battle was far worse.
“Rita went through a tougher time than I did,” Tom said in an interview with The National Defense Radio Show. “She had a much higher fever and she had some other symptoms. She lost her sense of taste and smell. She got absolutely no joy from food for a better part of three weeks.”
They both made a full recovery.
