But the one-time champion of the singing competition has issued a dire warning for those who now tread his path on the current season.
Speaking to news.com.au, the 23-year-old warned this year's contestants that they cannot expect to walk away from the show famous.

The singer-songwriter revealed: 'People aren't really fans of you, they're fans of the show. That's what I found.
'They might stick around on social media (after the show has ended) and give you a 'like', but when it comes to paying for tickets and buying albums, the numbers don't translate,' he added.
Judah also revealed that he was not paid for the singles he performed on the show and that were later released.

Earlier this month, the singer revealed that he has lost an astonishing 40kg in six months.
