Samantha Armytage has made a hilarious confession about her first day co-hosting Sunrise.
When the star joined Sunrise in 2013 after spending seven years co-hosting the Weekend edition of the show, she had a huge farewell party right before her first day.

“I have a confession to make … I wasn’t drunk, but I was hungover,” she said on Wednesday.
The confession came on Wednesday’s show, her second last before she officially steps down.
She explained how her Weekend Sunrise colleagues “had a farewell for me down at Bondi” on the Sunday before her move to weekdays and that she “got led astray by our boss.”
“I don’t look like it though do I? I can’t handle a hangover like that these days,” she joked.
Saying what we were all thinking, Armytage admitted that despite having a sore head, she still “fronted up and looked fresh.”
“See, you’ve never known that for eight years!”

Co-host David ‘Kochie’ Koch joked that “things haven’t changed, eight years on!”
Armytage revealed that she will be stepping down from presenting Sunrise after eight years.
She will be co-hosting her very last show on Thursday, after revealing the shocking news on Monday.
Getting emotional, she told viewers: “The time has come for the sun to set on my time at Sunrise.”

“As many of you know, of my personal life the last six months have been very bittersweet, some bits happy, and I want to step out of this and calm things down, take some time, enjoy a bit of slow living with my precious family and husband,” she said.
“I go out of this job at a time on top of the ratings, which not many people do not get to do.
“Now it’s time to spend a bit and only after I feel refreshed, and after I take a break, will I decide on my next chapter.”
Sam will remain with the Seven Network for any future projects, and is set to enter the world of podcasting, hosting a weekly podcast for Stellar titled Something To Talk About with Samantha Armytage.
Her replacement is set to be announced soon.
